Aside from a majority of people being potentially poorer with possible higher unemployment how do you see Brexit affecting us? We could see a reunited Ireland and increasing demands from Scotland to be independent. If both of those happened then I wonder if Wales might get stronger in it's independence agitations. I'm concerned that we could see a breakdown in society, as people get more desperate through being poorer. It's already bad enough with rising food poverty etc. This will, IMHO, be against a backdrop of rising realisation amongst the older enraged people that they have voted to make billionaires richer and themselves poorer and an increasing anger amongst young people that have seen their rights, protections and freedoms frittered and voted away by aforementioned older enraged group. I agree with your comments about Ireland and Scotland. I don't agree with the breakdown in society being a thing of the future though. It's already here, with food banks, chronic large-scale homelessness across the nation, employers making profits by paying below the living wage, people who are doing it tough being fed propaganda to target marginal groups for taking resources that have been taken by the super rich (if you need housing let's blame the two families sharing a flat, not the guy who owns the whole top floor of an apartment block or a 12 bed house that he visits twice a year) I've got a Scottish grandparent so I hope Scotland gets independence. I want the right to reside and work in the EU restored to me and my family that are being taken away. The more I think about it, the more I cannot believe the Eton elite have managed to pull this conjuring trick off: there's no need to act on global warming now, leaving the EU will be good for the economy, immigrants are criminals/welfare scroungers/immoral, the UK won't come apart over the next few years, the poor have brought it on themselves. There's still time for us all to look at the Eton elite and say we're not playing your game. I accept Brexit will happen but the Eton trifles don't have to strip us of commonsense and compassion. (NWS - I didn't mind commenting in this section. I expected to see M. Farage's gurning mug here.)

We cant educate people properly (kids and adults), we cant feed people properly, we cant house people properly. The disabled are getting abandoned along with the poor and it seems open season for abuse if have the wrong skin colour/accent/nationality. However, i fear that our racist, sneering, condascending cabinet is going to make things worse. Hells Bells, kids campaigning anout pollution will be terrorist if our death-pentalty, foreign power colluding home secretary gets her way!

The takeaway from that article is that the UN & WTO should stop treating China as a 'developing' nation which gives them massive dispensations from all manner of compliance issues but lends them economic advantages (which is why their delegates always argue the case). CFC gases are wel known as damaging to the environment yet China does not have to meet the same standards as everyone else because of it's so-called status. Development in China is such that the city just over the border from Hong Kong has fully electrified its 17,000 strong bus fleet as well as all taxis and is now trialling autonomous buses. If you saw the city centre of Shenzhen and all other major cities in China you would be in no doubt that they are definately first world with plenty of glass and steel skyscrapers and malls.

If the climate change stuff is accurate then we can't be pussyfooting around. We need to even out resources across the world and accept that our lives will not be as good as they once were. The alternative might be that our lives don't exist!

If this is done it may help remove the angst jdl is having about being top poster...numerically speaking.

More likely to be your great great, great grandkids but by then they will probably be living on Beta Sigma 7 along with the Klingons. JDL is only 71 posts behind you ,that advantage could be gone by midnight.
