Cannot understand these moaning remainers, at least daveu is moving on and looking forward to a much brighter future where we all prosper and the pesky foreigners have gone home. After all, leaving the largest free market the world has even seen, can only bring benefits to the UK. So obvious. Not sure I'm looking forward to a brighter future but at least I'm prepared to try and make the best of whatever future we have. If NWS wants to spend the rest of his life bemoaning how unfair everything is that's up to him but he really doesn't have to inflict it on the rest of us.

If you cannot understand things it is, yes. NWS your forum persona is that of a really not a very nice person. It claims to want to want intellectual debate but has no intention of ever changing any of its views, no matter what happens in votes, elections, or anything. It insults anyone who offers different views, and even when they give their evidence, it spends hours counter arguing them with more and more research to out-intellectuallize them and make them out to be stupid, and then claim a kind of "victory" which is very, very hollow. If you really are that smart, PLEASE run for office and stop turning our local football club website into more and more endless threads of political drivel. I am sure you are a very decent human being really, so my advice to that human being would be that your NWS persona be respectfully laid down for your own health and wellbeing, or go find a non FOOTBALL forum to be get off your chest whatever angst against life you seem to need to have to get out so doggedly and so vituperatively. Swords darkness, obvious suffering and outrageousness cynicism and life views generates humour, sympathy and care for the old f*rt. You could learn a lot from Sword. Personally I'd rather have Sword and his parrot in No10 than maniacal obsessives who write so much drivel with such malice and one upmanship! Being called an old fart ,brilliant, that's another one off the bucket list.😁

Strange that the superior French pension system is cited as a reason to be better off out of the EU. You may as well cite the production of crap German cars too. In swords make believe world of wonderment we may all be able to look foward to driving around in Austin Allegros or maybe Hillman Imps in a few years. Happy days ahead. I had an Austin allegro for 6 years never broke down once, only got rid of it when I hit a lamp post.

Sword, you must have been called many things over the years, many of them deserved I'm sure. But your admission to being a fan of the Austin Allegro speaks volumes about how you remember the good old days before the awful EU took over our lives. Nevertheless it was the most appallingly designed, ugly, unreliable dusbin of a motor vehicle which heralded the demise and collapse of the British Motor Industry. Cited by the Daily Telegraph in 2016 as being the worst car ever made ! Windows falling out and doors jamming, they were the least of its problems. It was certainly a British made car, with very, very few being deemed fit for export. Methinks you wear rosetinted specs sword !

Admittedly I didnt do a lot of miles but apart from an alternator I never had any problems just one night I broke too late for a left hand turn but tried to make it anyway and wrote it off.

You have to admire the sheer cheek of calling it by a name that means 'fast' in Italian, though... It also got praised for it's areodynamics - in an age of boxy cars, it was the most aerodynamic production car!

Just not true JDL. The original design which was quite eye catching was nothing like the eventual production version which had to accommodate an e series engine more suitable for one of the leyland trucks. The list of faults on this car is legendary. Typical that sword fell in love with it.

Jesus Lord. Are you being deliberately thick? It is in the original article. Over a million people more voted for parties supporting either a second referendum or revocation of Article 50. How is a million people less a majority? There is no way you can make a connection between voting labour and opposing Brexit. It would clearly have been a step too far for many labour supporters to change their allegiance to the Tories even if they supported Brexit. On top of that, Jeremy Corben was a reluctant supporter of a second referendum and Labour was very much on the fence. The only parties with a clear Remain policy were The Greens and the Liberal Democrats, neither of whom made any significant inroads, so maybe I'm not the one who's being thick. Face up to it pal, we lost, it's not gonna change and all your bleating and whining isn't going to change anything so you might as well get used to it. Yep. It has to be deliberate. I don't think the GE was a referendum on brexit because there were other issues that people voted on. I think it is nonsense to suggest it was. However, I keep seeing people make the same point about the GE being a referendum on brexit and brexit won a clear majority. It didn't, it really didn't. Whatever you protest about you talk utter twaddle if you claim that Labour's policy did not include a second referendum. It did. That is a fact. Libs wanted either revocation or a second referendum. That is a fact. Greens wanted a second referendum. That is a fact. SNP wanted a second referendum. That is fact (Amazing that you ignored the third largest party in number of seats). Jeremy Corbyn was not particularly committed to remain. His party were although I was making the point about voters. Are you disagreeing that more people voted, in 2019, for parties supporting a second referendum or revocation of article 50 than for parties calling for brexit? I'm not bleating and whining. I'm posting articles about how the future might pan out. Try reading them. However, people like you keep bringing up the same moaning about not wanting to read this stuff while posting more and more enragement at me for posting something they are apparently not interested in. Oh and as for getting used to it. Maybe you missed the bit where I spoke about getting Irish passports for my kids and sorting out my pension so it doesn't suffer too much if things tank.

Yup, lefty hand-wringing about how dreadful it all is, is getting really tedious. Thank God for the Unfollow button on FB... That Keir Starmer looks relatively sane - as indeed do all 5 candidates to replace the walking disaster that was Corbyn. Even if there were more Remainers - if they're fragmented between Green, Lib Dem, Labour, SNP etc then that doesn't make a majority in a democracy. Meanwhile in Abingdon our MP has come out as pansexual. Which is nice. Looking across the Channel at the French still in a strop about a sensible pension system, maybe we are better off out of it... Having more doesn't make a majority? The definition of majority is 'having a greater number'.
