Christ. Worse than I thought. Your keeper saves two pens and still you lose 1-5...

Dire. Lewington's two penalty saves were quite something and apart from the first, where Johnson made a clear grab at their player, the other two were marginal at best. However, got what we deserved. Memo to other sides playing Maidstone: 1. When attacking, play ball on ground and with pace. 2. When defending, wait until they hoof the ball upfield, then go back to point 1 above. In this way, Maidstone are unlikely to score and you will have a good chance of plenty. Note: keeper is pretty good.

We signed a keeper coach and got ourselves a keeper even better than Worgs. Just imagine where we'd be without some of the saves he's made in the last few weeks...

There is still a chance that this could turn out to be an 'if only' season. If only we hadn't given away so many late goals, we could still be in touch with the play off places. If only the Chippenham game had been postponed, we might have done better in the next three games, without the suspensions. If wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets! Very much a case of ride out the rest of the season and think again from there. At least that is what I hope the owners will be doing.

We didn't look that bad. The second penalty (that clearly wasn't) killed us off because we had just started to make a fight of it. You can't do much about a dodgy ref.

There's still an outside chance that we can still have a reasonable finish - and even if we don't, it's better than Clowngate II. But changes have got to happen from 26/4 - get someone new in asap and give them the summer to rebuild. And then decide if we stay full-time or not. Another season like this will just be another season ike this.

Highlights don't always show the true story, but yes two of the penalties seemed harsh but its irrelevant to the result. What was more scary was that the highlights seemed to show, and if correct, not for the first time this season, that Johnson was an absolute liability. I really thought he was great early season alongside George but now he looks like an East Grinstead player who should never have gone up to NLS. It also showed that particularly Wishart - and others - constantly got their pockets picked by Weymouth players more determined to get the ball. It also seems that we only bothered to try and play/attack when the game was well and truly lost. Just like last season - again. All of which seems to point to a team with zero confidence. Why? What's happened? Is there more to the late for meetings saga than we imagined? It feels like something has gone dramatically wrong in the dressing room Clown-style. Maybe we will never know, but unless it changes we will do well to avoid the double drop.

Worryingly strong echoes of the last few weeks of the Clown.

I agree with JDL there is no point at all in changing managers now we might as well wait till the end of the season but the owners need to be a tad more honest an open, tell them they will be replaced in April an hopfully find a new manager/s by April an allow them to recruit who they want an keep who they want.Sadly cannot see any of the above happening.
