A hard earned (and deserved) win on a heavy pitch.
That 'free kick' against McClure was nonsense. How can you foul a player that flies in from behind you, legs up, when you're probably not even aware he's there? McClure was just trying to clear the ball.
Mind you, almost worth it for the Kedwell!
Well done Stones. I think Akanbi would have got his hat-trick on a better pitch - he looked pretty knackerd by then.

Proper, Match of the Day, highlights with the commentary added on. Well done Stones TV and Stones Live. Almost as nerve wracking as listening to it live - shades of the Alamo at times, but we don't make life easy for ourselves having eleven back for much of the time. In those situations, the ball can go anywhere, which doesn't help Lewington control his area. Given what Akanbi can now do, surely it is worth leaving at least him upfield? Would take two defenders with him and mean he has 100 yards less to run every time we concede a corner. No wonder he was knackered at the end.

We all think it's so obvious to leave a player up, especially Akanbi, but the managers don't do it. There must be a reason for this, but I'm buggered if I can see it. (Ditto re bringing on subs when players are knackered.) As for commentary on STV, it certainly adds to video, especially when the commentator is as good as Chris, but I miss the crowd noise - it adds atmosphere - bit like watching with the sound off otherwise. I appreciate that STV did try and mix it in, when Chris wasn't talking, but it didn't really work. No criticism of STV intended, their efforts are really appreciated by those if us who can't make most away games.

Thank you for all your efforts STV and Stones Live. With regard to the different sound levels, I know that different audio tracks can be merged and balanced using Audacity for purely audio, but I don't know if that particular software can be used on video files that contain audio. Maybe it is not possible because they are different types of file.

Wondering what the weather was like last night? Check it out at 5:02! Good commentary from Fred and excellent editing to blend it in with the video - realy impressive.

Proper highlights so much better! Well done everyone. Would say we've played a lot worse than that and won convincingly - eg Dulwich, where we could have been 4-0 down inside half an hour. For me, certainly not handball for the free kick that got HH their goal. First of all it hit Wishart on the shoulder and second he was looking the other way. Quite the opposite of our penalty shout second half, where it was a lot more arm than shoulder and their defender was looking at the ball... Good to see Stones playing proper football, probably be he only way in those conditions, would be even better to see us do it in more benign weather, methinks. Do we kick on from here and put a good run together, like half a dozen strong performances in a row? Will need to if we are to have a proper chance of the play offs.
