Perhaps this thread will finish now Harry has signed Robinson. Time to start praising the manager (and the owners). Who knows maybe this thread gave Harry the kick up the arse he needed . I doubt it but you never know. |

Fair play to getting JR. if I could have had a striker from that league I’d have picked him so good result. |

He's made some good signings but so far hasn't got them playing as a team. If we get out of trouble, I'll give him the praise he deserves, even if we do it playing the awful hoofball. If we go down then nothing will convince me he was the right man for the job. For the record, I've never been one of those calling for his head, but at the end of the season he'll be judged on which league we end up in. |

I simply pointed out that the time to start praising him will be when we are safe. And even then, if we don't finish higher than last year why will he be any more worthy of praise than Jay? With a bigger budget and more professional staff we should be finishing higher, not just standing still, otherwise what was the point? |

Signed some decent players and back tracked a lot with his 'direct' version of football in the Friday interview. Either that or we all got the wrong end of the stick. This team has so much potential but as Dave says, he will ultimately be judged on results rather than personnel signed.

Does this forum and facebook come to that have any impact and is it read by club management ?
I don't think there's any doubt, despite some views to the contrary.
Harry Wheeler had a very good interview in his Friday night session and much of it was addressing issues raised on this forum.
I agree with daveu on this occasion, Harry has done a great job in recruiting some tasty players.
But we are in December now and has he delivered the stellar performances on the pitch as promised ?
On occasions, maybe, but for the majority of matches, not yet.
and of course there is the constant diet of hoofball, that is taking a while to get used to.
But all will be forgiven soon enough if results start turning in an upwards direction and we record some 3 pointers.
It's all to play for and like daveu I will join in the praise when the results turn around.
Perhaps differently to daveu, I am a shade more optimistic and have a hunch that Harry will achieve what we all want
and that's for the Stones to begin to climb the league table pretty soon.
