He is right though isn’t he 🤷🏼♂️ Saunders has 2 and a bit seasons in the NL. What’s Harry had. A dozen games And kept us up 2 seasons in a row. All I'm saying is, with the budget and resources available to him I'm expecting more from Harry. The length of time is irrelevant, if he can't improve on what we had there was no point changing.

Just. You must appreciate everything takes time. I think we’re about to turn the corner. If he fucks up I’ll be the first to back you up. I think we’re due a bit of luck though. I just have a gut feeling that it’s gonna come good. Surely that’s what we all want

Funny thing shamstone about your gut feeling, it always used to be daveu who wore his rose tinted spectacles and rarely saw anything negative in Jay Saunders or Stones performances.
Despite what must be a bigger playing budget than what Jay enjoyed, Harry has made a number of very good signings. We don't know whether Jay could have done likewise, but I suspect not.
But as daveu suggests, Harry has not yet converted the strength of his squad into consistently good performances when it matters. Until he does the jury is out and it's all down to gut feelings.
daveu is no longer the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" type of supporter and takes the view that Harry has it still to prove. I agree, but also share your gut feeling about the future (surely this squad is more than good enough).

What does it matter how good the quality of individual players is? This is a chimera. What matters is can Harry build a team and win games (it has to be 'win' now - drawing is no longer enough)?
Our best season in the NL was our first - with a team that included many players who were only NS (or even IP) standard on paper.
Jay was sacked - presumably - because (for reasons we'll probably never know) he failed to recruit enough NL standard players over the summer. But his record on building/rebuilding successful teams is second to none. Harry has shown he can recruit good players, but he has yet to prove that he can put a winning team together.

Nick, even the most amber tinted of us can have the optimism knocked out of us if the poor performances go on long enough. Even though I thought Jay went too soon, like everyone else I was hoping for a brave new world under Harry, but after an initial decent start where we looked solid and difficult to score against, the same old frailties returned, and apart from Blair we look even less like scoring than we ever did, and to my eyes, the football we are playing has got worse to watch. I'm not expecting an immediate turn around, but something has to change soon, otherwise, not matter how well we play, we'll have left ourselves too much to do, hence my amber tinted glasses are somewhat out of focus at the moment.

As for judging him - because he's failed to lift us up the table in his first two+ months, he now has a hell of a task on his hands.
Assuming survival is 50 points, we need 31 points from the remaining 24 games. Which means the sort of form that Barnet or Wrexham are currently on.
Given Harry's current record - 3 3 5 - 12 pts from 11 games, this is a huge task.

As things stand we're 5 points from safety.

Now second bottom. This isn't a player problem, this is now a manager problem. An experienced manager at this level would have this group of players well clear from safety.
If the owners really want to stay in this league action needs to be taken soon and get someone in who actually knows this level. If they give Wheeler till the end of January this season will already be beyond saving.

We are five points adrift of safety and I cannot see us getting another win this season,so long NL it was fun whilst it lasted . Actually it wasn't even that.
