I am 53 and have as much chance of living to draw a pension as England have of avoiding an innings defeat in Trinidad. They just have. JUST! A 10 wkt defeat in 2.8 days is just as bad.

Someone claiming on FB that Ebbsfleet owe their owners £14 million. If that's true, any fans should be very very worried the owner is losing enthusiasm. Most money invested into football clubs goes in as director loans. If the directors who are owed the money decide to call their loan(s) in and the club cannot pay, in theory the club will have to be liquidated and all assets sold to cover as much of the debt as possible. Fortunately, Maidstone United is partly protected from this possible outcome because the Holdings Ltd company is the one that owes, in theory, Oliver and Terry their money. The worst that could theoretically happen is that they call in their loans and we lose the ground, but the football club and anything it personally owns would not be touched. I don't know how Ebbsfleet are set up but, if it is just one business running everything, theoretically the Dr will be owed millions. It would of course be incredibly cynical and low for him to call that debt in so let's hope he wouldn't do that. I am 99% certain that our owners would never do it because they are about as genuine as football directors come, as opposed to someone who invested to win local hearts and minds in order to improve his chances of building a ruddy great theme park nearby that now looks as though it probably won't happen. Just a quick message for the (two people I believe) who started sounding off about boring posts. I skimmed your posts and got the gist of your views. If you find the posts by myself or others boring, don't read them, or just read a couple of lines to get the general point and then move on. Nobody forces you to read them. Use your scroll bar.

I actually find your attitude highly insulting, perhaps if a discussion is not to your liking then abusing those taking part says more about you than any of the words you type say about anyone else I work in London, have a degree, and am near pension age so have an interest in all that but not these endless war and peace diatribes on these posts in Intricate detail they are just BORING can we get back to football please? I’m with our colourful language friend - even if I wouldn’t put things quite how he did, we are all entitled to our opinions! There is a clear line between opinion and abuse The big difference is, you have stated an opinion, to which you, as you state, are entitled, as am I. Like football there is a lot of BS talked around pensions, all I (and jayser) are trying to do is inform from our differing expertise on the subject, but only in a football context as this is a football forum I will leave the "I am entitled to an opinion but you aren't" stuff to others we all know

All of this is very, very interesting but, well actually it's not very interesting at all to be honest it's the sort of Gin&Tonic crap you hear between 13.00 and 14.00 when all the suit clad bullshit Wankers come out to play from their offices and look down their nose at you as if you were filth before going on to talk about the upcoming drop in temperatures that might affect the coffee beans in some backwater shithole in f**king Columbia. Nobody cares , get a life or a life insurance but stop talking about boring bloody or pensions. By the way who gives a tuppeney toss whether the fat pikey Bastard Kedwell has got his £15,000 this month it's his and G&N's problem not OURS!!!! I actually find your attitude highly insulting, perhaps if a discussion is not to your liking then abusing those taking part says more about you than any of the words you type say about anyone else I do apologise if my views offend you Mr MOLEY and yes I do know you work in pensions but I will not retract on a single word I have said and those who do get upset do so because they know I am right . The amount of times I have seen suits walking into a pub and treating bar staff like excrement and sneering at lesser sorts like myself must be in the 100's,now I know I shouldn't tar you all with the same brush especially as I have known you for years but those snidey bastards(Sorry Oldboy)do nothing but let YOU down. I have actually listened to their i am better than you conversations and its like a Monty python sketch except not funny and the real funny thing is that they believe their own bullshit. Yes pensions are important but a football pro board is not the place to talk about them, discuss them or whatever. As for the G&N players they are within their rights to sue the club for breach of contract but if they haven't got the Cojones to do it then that is their problem not OURS!!!

The point is that 99.9% of the time I don't find you or anyone else boring but pages of financial advice is boring. This is not tbe place to talk about it but yes you are doing so in answer to something that is pure speculation about another football club so it is vaguely acceptable. Nobody knows what is going on at Stonebridge Road and I am sure a majority of people don't care. Did G&N care when we went tits up I doubt it very much.

Alas you have to read them to know that they are boring and by the time the penny drops it's to late you're bored. As for having a go at people I suppose it's because all of my life people have been having a go at me Sword 65 the big disappointment in our lives ,the man who should have been much more and I 've had this from family ,friends and those that i work with none of whom could see the joy that I felt at being me and not the person they wanted to be. These guys talking about pensions and investments that is not who they are that is them being what others think they should be and they need to break free from the boredom and do what they want to do not what others expect them to do. I have known MOLEY for years and he doesn't bore the pants of people in the pub by talking about pensions so why does he feel the need to do it on this board ok I have offended him for which I am almost sorry but it's for his own good he needs to be himself and talking pensions is not moley. Well you are probably all bored by this and so I'll shut up and go away for a while.

Sword - talk about mad budgies & past experiences from your past ( and present ). Ignore those posts that your find boring - I do with one poster in particular ( Not you) - but avoid slagging off everyone you find tedious.
Pensions are necessary.
Tolerance is a good human trait.
Getting back to the thread topic - The Dr that sponsors Ebbsfleet obviously hasn't got the deep pockets he wanted to project when he first purchased the club. The much delayed development was obviously a development which he hoped to proceed with , but with other peoples money . This is not forthcoming and explains the reason why he is losing interest in his investment with the club.

You are right Sennockian I should keep a lid on my feelings and will try harder in the future and this board is not the place to sound off anyway. As for G&N they have been conned by an Arab who is throwing his toys out of his pram because he cannot get his own way. A hundred or so years ago he would have been" dealt with" by the local villains but it seems that the residents of Gravesend have become to civilized.

We were a bit upset when you took over Dirtford then bankrupted both sides. Losing 2 local derbies cost us a few bob as well.

The Dr is a pretender - The one Freddy sang about - A man with no substance & credibility. At my age ( 53) I have seen many & he is one. I thought you were talking about Harry... A pretender in the original sense of the word is a claimant, eg Bonny Prince Charlie was the young pretender because he had a (at least partially legitimate) claim to the Scottish throne. It's a much more recent interpretation that it's an entirely spurious claim designed to deceive.
