Friday will be a good stern test of how we shape up. At least we are pretty much settled in terms of squad.
Looking at a lot of people's input for the VNL on Facebook the majority have us to be relegated it seems so hopefully we can surprise a few.

Nice to see someone writing in the opposition's patch who really does their homework first.

I was impressed too. As others have said, along with the visit of Dulwich, these games will prove a good test before the season starts with Hartlepool.

Not seen any friendlies so far and will miss Billericay too. But have read and listened with interest to opinions as to how players have been performing.
Can't recall anything being said about the 'new' Wynter. From anybody that has seen him play, does he look decent ?

Only seen the Brentford game but he played in midfield, which is obviously what the 'old' Wynter did last season did on occasion as well. I imagine Finney and De Haviland will be first choice in the centre of defence but he may play as one of three or, again, in midfield.

I have seen forest and the Brentford games and he hasn’t done anything wrong but hasn’t really stood out either. I see him being on the bench as can cover defence and midfield although if we play with 3 cb’s then he will start.

The only stand out friendly in my view is the Dulwich game.

Mind you, I don't remember what I had for breakfast...

If only all football journalism at our level was as good as this...

Also signed Matt Funnell, goalkeeper who was with us at the end of last season and played in pre-season.

And another young defender as well, moving up from the youth team. Like what Jay says about having a side with plenty of pace and stamina and, especially, that he is aiming to do better at home this season. Time will tell, but COYS!

Good to see, even at this exalted level, that accademy players still have a chance of playing for the first team. Excellent news.
