I thought I read somewhere that we have a top half budget this season. Terry said that in a interview for the KM Casey said: "We've got to find a formula to get us in that top eight or top 10 so we can stop having these sleepless nights.
"We've got to come up with something different because for two years we've been flirting with relegation.
"Next season we'll have a budget that will be in the top half of the league in the hope we can compete but we're not going to fly away with silly ideas about spending more and more on the team. |

"Next season we'll have a budget that will be in the top half of the league in the hope we can compete but we're not going to fly away with silly ideas about spending more and more on the team.Must admit we seem to have had to fight tooth and nail to keep the likes of Finney and Philips from rival teams in our league and we have lost wynter to Eastleigh we only seem to sign players from outside our division it seems the club are not willing to be involved in auctions on wages at our level.Guess we are going to have to be patient bearing in mind Finney,Wynter and Hines joined very late last yearand largely proved to be good signings. |

No news is good news ?
I'm afraid not.
The hope and expectation of new signings over the past week have not materialised.
A few grumbles from supporters about the club not communicating but this is hardly the problem.
Jay has simply (for one reason or another) been unable to secure the signings of players he has targeted.
Plenty of rumours abound about loads of trialists being looked at down at the Gallagher.
But how many will be proven at National League level or above ?
Still we are where we are.
No point in worrying about it.
Jay knows better than anybody that we need another 6 quality signings in positions all over the pitch.
In Jay we trust !

Which indicates something probably has happened for a new signing.
More worryingly, it indicates his plans have been frustrated somewhat and the lack of communication suggests we didn't have anything solid so the planned deals fell away.
Already have a feeling this season is going to be a hard slog if we've missed out on proven NL players putting our eggs in one basket hoping to get league cast offs
