Starting to get silly now with the lack of signings. It’s nearly the start of pre season and we are at least 5-6 players off and maybe more. What is going on? Jay better have some great players lined up because if he doesn’t then get ready for another relegation threatened season.

I thought we had a mid table budget? Looking from outside are we an unattractive club to join? The national league is popular, so it’s not that....Attendances are top five, it’s not that.....location? Well Dover is worst possible location and they attract good players from all over the country. We are close to London, with good motorway links.
It could be the pitch, but Sutton and Bromley attract good players.
I see no reason why we can’t attract good players. Jay needs to come up with the goods in the next couple of weeks.
Communication to the supporters is not great either. We are fans, but also customers and by purchasing season tickets we are investing in the club too.
I hope for better. Having said all that.....still can’t wait for start of the season.

I'm hoping Jay has already agreed the contracts of new players and will announce them all at the same time. If not then I don't understand his last few journals. Mentioned a while ago he expected one to sign that didn't to then say expected two strikers to sign last Saturday which haven't. I know he wants to take his time but so close to pre-season friendlies and under a month until the season starts - is that enough time for players to gel and find the right formation?

Well those strikers he said he had wrapped have obviously blown him out, so he's probably scampering around for even more crappier recruitment's. I should think that the even the better trialists on board will be getting offers elsewhere soon. He waited for the EFL window to open and never bothered looking around the national or even below...

Didn't really want to get drawn into this but what the hell. There seems to be a load of people that claim to know what is going on in Jays head, what he has done, what he hasn't done, who he is speaking to, what his plans are, when he will make an announcement etc etc etc.
Talk about get on the mans back before the season has even started.
Let him do his job then judge him, or failing that just look for the nearest exit, nobody is forcing any of you to stay and watch a team that is clearly going to be relegated by Christmas taking a manager that has no clue what he is doing with them.

I agree with letting him doing his job and haven't commented on the post until now but he has clearly come out a few times now and suggested we will have players within a certain time that hasn't materialised so supporters are rightfully going to question whats gone wrong given how close we are to pre-season games. |

My main point was if there was improved communication to suppporters from the club,....there would be more clarity, less supposition, less arguing, second guessing and worrying from all of us.
Jay may be about to announce some amazing signings, but why keep us in the dark for weeks when at the same time looking for season ticket sales, player and game sponsorship and general word of mouth positivity about the club around town.?
Tonight is a perfect opportunity to correct this.

The problem is that several times we as fans have been promised updates on the new recruits and this has never been forth-coming, it seems that apart from letting us know when the lounge will be open for world cup matches very little else has been released by the club, which shows it,s being run more as a business. Now time is running out for JS to compile a squad good enough to match his and our expectations, no doubt the rose tinted spectacle wearers will look upon this as another attack against JS but when he keeps telling us that new signings will be announced and then they fail to happen he,s his own worst enemy at times. |

If we hadn't been told in the past about signings, and all of a sudden woke up to 3 being announced we wouldn't mind.
The fact is we were, and it's not happened which suggests jays great plan has so far backfired.

I thought I read somewhere that we have a top half budget this season. If so then we should be attracting bigger name players. Hopefully we get some loan players in from prem or championship clubs this season. Jay needs to sort things out quickly.
