As long as our team turn-up instead of the sleepers.

Hopefully Hartlepool will be railroaded and our mini revival hasn't got the buffers.

I went on it in August 2016, it was day trip to Windsor in aid of the heart of Kent hospice. I did not want to be walking around Windsor in a suit so I wore grey triusees, beige shirt, tie and a blue blazer with a Maidstone united pin badge

Let's hope Hartlepool don't become a bogey team, and a win sends a signal to the league and gives us a platform for next season.

Didn't realise we could see Charing from the stadium - or was this a prediction of our goal at quarter to five?
Relied on the posters on this thread and hadn't bothered to read the downsmail link so was surprised to see the train crossing the river from Maidstone East heading towards London after the game.
Edit: Silly me, can't believe I wrote this "Relied on the posters on this thread". Must get my medication increased.

Saw it from the Riverside path. It gave a peep peep as it went over the bridge. Very slowly and going in a straight line. The Jai Reason Special?

Sorry. How stupid of me assuming it would be heading coast bound and not returning to London. I was walking back to town and saw a bit of huffing and puffing, followed by a loud whistle. A perfect analogy for the football match just finished.

I went on it in 2016. the carriage i sat in was part of winston churchills funeral train. the carriage next to me was where Arthur Daley and terry mcCann sat in MINDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. Merchandise onboard was very expensive though! I paid £12 for a fridge magnet, but it was a lovely souvenir! I did draw the line at spending £45 on a tie though!

I watched Churchill's funeral train go by (by accident, I should add). Pulled by Battle of Britain class 'Winston Churchill'. And a few years before that, I saw the Queen drive past on her way to open the Queen Elizabeth II reservoir. All I needed was Elvis, to get the set. (Not THE Elvis, of course, the American one who made a few good records before he joined the army.)

Thanks Bernie. But it would be a lot less confusing if you just posted this on a new thread, rather than digging one up from FIVE years ago!
Anyone interested in this, but as confused as I was by the link - it appears to indicate that a special train (presumably steam hauled?) Is coming through Maidstone East about 10:20 on Saturday morning.
