As he’s our only left back we are left with no other option... He is shocking. I would play Seth at left back Then who at right back, don’t say hare as he showed yesterday he’s not good enough at this level.

Blimey, if you lot think the past few games were bad you should have been around during the season that Jay was appointed manager - now that was truly sh*te until Jay came in and steadied the ship. Two words to strike fear in to any Stones fan - Andy Ford

very likely that Jay will ring the changes for BW plenty of loan signings will be in the team and does our season depend upon them it's a big ask to hit the ground running and we may need a couple more matches to see the team blend patience !

I agree with using Wynter in front of the back four. Reason for me offers nothing, he is immobile, slow, not particularly full of running and not capable of taking people on! A player like that would need to be able to control the middle and pick a pass out from anywhere on the pitch, which he can not! He did it once in the FA cup to Hines, but that was once!
Putting Du Havilland on the bench because “he doesn’t know any of the guys” to me is total rubbish from Jay! He knows football and is more than capable at this level. Put him in and give him game time. Magnus is showing why D&R fans were so happy to see him leave. Why play a back four that is your Biggest flaw??? My brother came to the game and only gets to a few games in a season and he commented on the Big number 6 and said “who is that, he seems totally out of his depth” How Magnus kept a place at Colchester for so Long is beyond me!! I’m still not convinced by Anderson either who gets beaten too easily.
My team should we have a fit squad would be
3-5-2
Worgan
Du Havilland, Finney, Beckwith (back three) Wynter, Lewis, Paxman. (Middle) Turgott, Loza (wing backs) Coker, Lafayette (front pair)
Wing backs would be better going forward than back, but confident enough in Wynter and the 3 behind to deal.
Maybe that would work, maybe it wouldn’t, but I don’t think we have tried enough formations, we try and make players fit formations rather than the other way round.
I wouldn’t be sad if Prestedge, Reason, SAM-Yorke, Magnus, Anderson we’re to move on and free up money. Would also like to see another keeper on the books to challenge Worgan.
Hey I don’t have the answers just ideas like everyone else. People talking of Steve Watt, well at the moment his team would probably leave the Gallagher with a win if they played us at the moment! We are too prodictable and easy to beat.
I will however be at Boring Wood hoping for that elusive turning point in the season! COYS..

Spot the deliberate mistake where i suggest a back three then put Wynter in front of the back four 🤔

Thought he was class v Gills in KSC. Seth is also very one footed. Personally, I think Anderson is solid. Don't see why he comes in for critiscm half the time.

I think if Wraight was fit then he & Seth would be Wing-backs in a 3-5-2 formation.
Seth played well at left back on Tuesday night and linked well with Beckwith. Hare is definitely not a natural right back. Anderson is OK but is slow on the turn & slow to recover.
I think Jay will play 3-5-2 against BH as he has so many centre backs to choose from.
I'm still not convinced by Paxman but I know others will disagree.
Against BH I would go with...
Worgan Wynter, DeHavilland, Beckwith Twumasi, Lewis, Prestedge, Paxman, Anderson Turgott, Loza

Also, anyone know where Coker was at the weekend? Wasn't even on the bench

I would rather support a team with Jay Saunders as manager than a team with Stones1970 as a fan.

I think this side needs to go on some sort of army/outward bound course something completely away from football, face some adversity together and learn to succeed as a team. This lot seem to be playing with complete fear and trepidation and have lost that winning feeling. I know, send them on a team bonding trip to Barcelona, just make sure there's a midnight curfew, and no taxis...

Steve Watt is winning with the Jay Saunders sides of the past. Great at that level but he seems to be making a success as Jay Saunders has by following the same methods You're taking a huge chance appointing anyone who's not managed a 'full time' club at this level. Different ball game etc. And so ny that logic, we took a huge chance keeping Jay on when we were promoted from National South, as he hadn't managed at this level either!!
