A lot of Maccy fans dont seem happy with the prospect of Saunders.
Can't really blame them to be honest, if we had just won the league and appointed a manager who nearly got relegated from said league, we wouldn't exactly be jumping for joy either.......much like i will be disappointed if we appoint Watty as manager after not doing much at Margate.

Lot of Macc fans keen to give him a chance. If you dont give managers a chance you just end up with tbe same old same old...just look at the bottom half of the Premier League.

Personally not really bothered either way would not be the worst thing to have fresh ideas or if he continues provided he has learnt from last season

Looks like macclesfield will be back in the national league again next year! ๐๐๐ To be fair , they went up as the surprise package last season and their manager jumped to a better club with Shrewsbury plus some of their players have also left. They were in the shit financially. How could this have appealed to Jay is beyond me. They could indeed go back down next season but then Jay will have been given the bullet before that if results don't go their way.

How much is being consumed tonight? This is all just speculation. Come on folks this is the height of the silly season and with no football. People are just making this up.

Sorry, but when Craig Tucker (KentOnline) reports how Stones impressed against Macclesfield and that the bookies have pretty much closed their books, you have to accept that the writing is on the wall.
Thanks for the good times Jay and best of luck with the next stage of your career

If Jay wants to progress his career, I would wish him well and be proud we gave him his big chance.
The only disappointment would be that the fans and owners stood by Jay on a number of occasions when times were tough. Not many clubs are like that.

I will be gutted if Jay goes as I think he Has done a fantastic job for us and will continue to improve. You canโt blame him for going though (if he does) a Chance to manage in the football league is a big deal! I would wish him well but I just hope he doesnโt sign Finney and Wynter ๐ณ๐ณ

Well the story seems to be reaching its inevitable conclusion with an official announcement likely sooner rather than later. (the only very slight doubt is encouraged by violent swings in the bookies odds over recent days) But they can't all be so wrong and I speak as another Jay Saunders fan who will be saddened to see him go. Wishing him the very best for his future on a personal basis, although I still think he's taking a hell of a risk !

I hope he stays I really do but would completely understand if takes the chance offered.
