I was in Maidstone on Thursday at 15.30 and noticed the Stag was closed, has it closed or just not open in the afternoons?

Gate House pub in Tonbridge has closed along with a number of other outlets run by the Red Cat Pub company.
The Bull at Barming is owned by the same Company.

The Gatehouse Tonbridge closing is no sad loss and the only problem being the arseoles that frequented it will now have to find somewhere else and will probably invade the Chequers to annoy the hell out of me🤬

It looks like it should be a good pub - a typical village local (although Barming isn't really a 'typical' village, and the Bull is not really in the centre these days). But, from the few times I drank in there when we lived in Barming Heath, I wasn't impressed. In fairness, though, that was 30 odd years ago...

The Bull has shit beer and its grossly overpriced and you need a mortgage to eat in there.

Pad Thai and Singha with a river view at Draysons for just over £15. 50% more than a meal and drink at Spoons, but well worth it.

Sounds horrible. Weird cocktails in silly glasses. Just the thing for drunken women in their 20s.

Never heard of it. And I walk down Week St at least 3 or 4 times a week!
