I am hoping to put in an afternoon appearance on Saturday before returning for live music in the Oak at Tonbridge. I plan to start at the Druids then move to the Market House and finish update afternoon at Drakes which is just around the corner from my bus stop. Depending on how much money i spend on Saturday I may well head to the Duke of Marlborough on Sunday for Toot n ska men. All of this subject to good health which has an annoying habit of ruining my days out.

The Feathers at Lockmeadow to cease trading from the 24th.☹ No great loss. Food and service were poor and the beer was typical generic ales and lagers.

Rockin Robin reported closed again. Seems the new owners upset their customers. My mate who drinks there said the new managers put the prices up by 3 times the rate of inflation and so everyone decided to boycott the place. It is rumoured that Sheps have asked the current landlady of the Royal Albion ti take over the Duke.

The two lads running the place had zero concept of politeness, or even speaking to customers. I’m not paying £6 for Fosters to be literally ignored. They insulted the popular previous owners in a KM article. Spent most of their time on a laptop or speaking loudly in a foreign language on their mobiles. Just hope Shepherd Neame don’t take it as an excuse to sell the place for flats. Foreigners being rude with zero concept of politeness....... never

Went in there once when it re-opened. Looked like they’d spent a bit. Was expensive like town pubs but it overly so. The soul of that pub and most pubs are in the landlord and the locals and if they wanted it to become a gastro pub with no drinkers they’re not really in the right place

I Hate Shepherd Neame more and more each week especially when they shut another music venue down🤬

Duke of Edinburgh / Rockin Robin open again. It Would seem the rumour was true as Sharon the landlady of the Royal Albion has gone to the Duke and will run both pubs.
