Are you an art student or vegan? That seemed to be their demographic. Used to be a good pub before the bloody students took it over! I somehow can't see Sennockian as a vegan... |

The usual rules are that you count as a national of a particular country if one of your grandparents was of that nationality. So, you are eligible to play for the Veggies. QED |

Just had a perfectly acceptable all day breakfast at the Queen Anne. Ratio of drinkers to diners explains why pubs are turning to food. Nothing to indicate whether this is still a 'gay' pub. Decor good by Maidstone pub standards, so maybe the gays are on to something drinking here. The Queen Anne is now open until 3am but the front door is locked and you can only enter from the rear. Like the American bar / casino - liquor in the front, poker in the rear... |

I am gutted the White Rabbit is now a steak house chain (not a good one). Went there in the summer for a drink and they won't let you have a drink. Only food. Great sunny day with an empty beer garden. I was gutted, used to like the white rabbit for the beer garden. Not many in Maidstone centre.
4 degrees is my favourite for selection of World and Craft beers.
There is a micro pub/brewery over the river which i have been meaning to go to for years but never have.
Banks was one of my favourites.
Went to Beirkeller a couple of weeks back. That was an experience! not sure i will rush back. Plastic steins. I asked for a Wheat Beer and they didn't know what i was on about...
Anyway, that is all. Good night fellow stones.

Welcome stonerrider the micro pub is called the Cellars bar and is definitely worth a stroll across the bridge but check for opening times first. |

That place is on a very short list of drinking establishments I've never been in. Bierkeller. Players. Mu Mu. That Social Bar that used to be Stepping Stones. Any WMC. Stone Street Club. Snooker Bar in Stone Street. Lashings. I wouldn't bother with any of them especially the bierkeller as after 15 minutes of Oompah music you will want wrap their instruments around their heads. Lashings is full of losers and the others are of no interest whatsoever so stick to the good pubs or they will die like so many others |

Highly recommend it Ive not been there for a couple of years, my aussie mate and myself used to make that our first point of call when doing a little pub crawl, but they stopped doing Whitstable bay on tap, so we stopped. I wonder how many ex prisoners made a bee line for that pub, as soon as they are Released out of the prison door opposite? |

Now a very friendly local, and most of the old crowd seem to have moved on. |
