Had a look at the National League table for the first time in few weeks and was surprised to see that Southend are right down the bottom and in a relegation battle.
Really didnt expect them to be doing this bad

Really didnt expect them to be doing this bad Yeah it’s good to see. They’d be comfortably mid-table without the 10 point deduction. Logic says they are going to out perform the teams who are down there but here is always one team that doesn’t realise they are in the shit until it is too late. Kiddie were on form. Fleet changed their manager and are picking up. Woking must improve? Dorking keep picking up wins when they seem to be sucked into it. Might be interesting. Would love to see Southend down although it would be a cake walk for them in this league. |

It's really tight in the bottom half of the table, just 3 points between Dorking in 21st and Rochdale in 13th.
This many teams being in the relegation battle this late into the season is pretty mad.

Woking, Kidderminster and Southend all won last night, all near the bottom. Bad news for Dorking!
Oxford are dead and buried, but the next 6 teams are only separated by 1 point!! 3 of which will get relegated!!!
AND..... for Dorking , of their remaining 12 fixtures , only 3 of them are teams in the bottom half! 9 games against top half opposition!

The battle at the bottom is amazing. Remember in the Jay times when we were almost at title winning form from about this time of the season and dragged ourselves up to about 10th.
