They'd have looked pretty silly without the other 8 players though. Typical deluded hammers fans trying to claim the credit. 3 players (out of only 11 in those days), the captain, all the goals, three assists. Yeah, completely deluded... When did West Ham last win anything?

Of note probably the 1980 fa cup final They'll probably lay claim to some pre season tournament that they won more recently mind you. That's when you can get them to shut up about winning the world cup, which they all go on about non stop.

Isn't it odd how stubborn this virus is, even when Johnson has declared an end to it?
It's almost as if it's behaving like a errr... highly contagious virus.

That's a really good piece, thanks for sharing. Coaching has moved on from just having a fat bloke in a quilted tracksuit shouting ' squeeze 'em in ' .

An early look at how Kent clubs are doing in both National Leagues. Club | Played | Points | Bromley | 3 | 4 | Dover | 3 | -12 | Dartford | 5 | 15 | Maidstone | 5 | 13 | Ebbsfleet | 4 | 7 | Tonbridge | 4 | 4 | Welling | 5 | 4 |
Dover nearly climbed to -11 points yesterday. Welling recovering after a disastrous start to the season.

Southend lost 4-0 today at home to Chesterfield. One of the scorers a certain Saidu Kahn. There was a pitch invasion by home fans, protesting about the chairman, who sacked manager Phil Brown immediately after the game. Southend only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. And you thought it was bad here.
