Accrington Stanley have been competing in L1 for the past few seasons on attendances similar to our own. Where is their money coming from?

Their chairman regularly talks about football finance.

Not been keeping up with the lower reaches of the EFL, so early in the season, so it was a shock to hear about Bolton and Bury on R4 this morning.
Bury haven't been allowed to play any of their games so far and are on -12 points! Bolton are in a mess too, but have only had their last game stopped. And they are in a slightly happier place - played 3, lost 2, drawn 1 -11 points.
There's obviously more to this than just attendances, but it's interesting to compare the two clubs. There's no figures for Bury (obviously) but my understanding is that they only get around 3,000 - so that would fit the unsustainable gates theory. But Bolton get just under 9,000 and have the 7th best support in L1.
On a related point - what happens to Bury, if they do get kicked out of the EFL (as looks pretty inevitable at the moment)? They can't be slotted into another league several games into the season, so is that it - they do a Maidstone?
If so, I think they'll be only the second FL club (since us) to go bust during the season.

But we only jumped just before we were pushed.

I notice BW don't count ST holders who don't attend (puts on tin helmet). Both of them turning up or not wont make a significant difference to the attendance figure

Maidstone and Aldershot both kind of gave up and withdrew from the Football League. At what point will Bury or Bolton be kicked out?

re: Bury, the paper today says the owner rejected an offer to buy the club yesterday. Could it be he wants the club to fold, so that he's left with a prime plot of real estate which could be sold for development? I know nothing of the owner's motives or the details of the offer, it's just a thought. It would mean rich men (it's always men) buying football clubs as a means to more wealth (ie asset stripping), but that never happens, of course.

Direct action being taken, per twitter, a former director has chained themselves to the drainpipe at the front of the stadium: ' Katie Gornall @katiegbbc It’s come to this. Ex #Buryfc director Joy Hart has locked herself to the front of the stadium in protest at the club’s plight. Her father Les Hart is a Bury legend and has a stand named after him ' .

Sadly it's unlikely this will make any difference. I think we're likely to see Bury in the NWCL next season, whether as a new club or having somehow saved the existing club.

At least there'll be some unexpected happiness at the bottom of L1 and L2 at the end of the season.

At least there'll be some unexpected happiness at the bottom of L1 and L2 at the end of the season. Not sure why it will be unexpected. Clubs will know by now that if Bury are expelled only three will be relegated. Whatever level they restart at, they will effectively be taking one relegation place for each of the leagues above that level. Presumably this could in theory cascade all the way down to the bottom division of the Northern Premier League. Add in the FA's proposed restructuring of Step 4 from 7 to 8 leagues and the increase of VNL North and South to 24 clubs each (the start of making a perfect pyramid) and confusion will surely reign supreme.
