Whitehawk first half the best team I have seen this season thy looked a league above. Second half well what a bunch of time wasting cheats with all there talent why the hell was that all about. As for us we lacked ideas in the final third, We played far to narrow it works when we are leading but we are so bloody predicable when we are chasing the game . I know there always a risk of being caught on the brake but lets gamble and get the ball out wide more. My motm Parry as solid as ever,

Agree we were beaten by the better team but why don't we attack in the first half like we do in the second half. Flish needs to play up front he is wasted on the wing. Akrofi looked good when he came on. Maybe we should play 433 with May flish and Akrofi as the strikers. We don't create enough chances. They out muscled us all over the pitch. We need players like that who can bully other players. We are too weak in certain areas. Agree with Jay in that we need to freshen up the squad. A striker and defender would be nice. But we move on and hopefully win on Saturday and have a nice cup run. Agree re Flish, but, although he's improved a lot, Akrofi still gets pushed off the ball too easily. Personally, much as I love wing play, I think we rely on the wing too much, as we don't have anyone in front of goal who can convert the crosses into goals. We need to be able to create from the middle more too, and we have the ideal player to do that in Paxman - but he sits too far back most of the time. In fact I'm left wondering if our superb defensive record until recently was not just down to a good goalie and defence, but also a defensive minded midfield - how often to we see Healey and Paxman in defence? Even May a lot of the time. So, no wonder we didn't score many. And now maybe Jay has tried to reform the midfield to be more attacking, and not only isn't this working, but it's affected our defensive capabilities - the worst of both worlds. (Usual "I know feck all about football" caveat applies.)

the above comment is fair play in my favour- but as a untrained observer, and tonight was no exception- How many times do we we miss a corner opportunity..??
Id be training on just that element...

My thoughts on the game, let's start with the officials the referee was consistent, consistently poor, I was sure he had left his cards in the dressing room and was reluctant to book any player, his first booking was a Maidstone player and in all honesty Whitehawk could have and should have had about 5 players booked by this point especially their number 3, now we onto the linesman nearest the main stand he was a complete joke and how he managed to miss the the elbow in the 1st half but then get really excited when Worgann kicked the ball out from his hands instead of a goal kick in the 2nd half only he will know. Now down to the team performance we were quiet in the first half and the best chance came from Driver who was set up lovely by Frannie, now I will get my gripes in now, it's no good digging out the forwards about not scoring when in all honesty our creativity in midfield is poor, it's no good passing the ball left to right and back again and then eventually passing the ball forward by this time our front players have decided to drop deep to try and get the ball, I honestly felt gutted when Frannie was taken off 10 minutes into the 2nd half and was replaced but Akrofi, I also found it incredible when Akrofi was on the pitch we decided to launch high balls towards him why didn't we try this in the first half, my thoughts on Whitehawk they are a clever and well set up team, who play the game and the officials

We should not be allowed to play on a Tuesday night again at home , as it seems that the last 3 of them as seen us lose on each occasion. We were second best against a very fast side with big players that out-muscled our players. No change once again in the final third of the field ,only Flisher , who has only just come back from a long inury seem to want it ; he never stopped chasing everything and was very unlucky with 2 of his efforts in each half ! So I take it that we will hear of further signings before the week is over and once again nothing will come of it !!. We are Maidstone United and we will move on and seek a bit of a breather with an FA Trophy match next Saturday !.
PS:How many of you spotted Jack Parkinson at the game tonight ? ... I went over to him as I was making my way towards the tea hut ... He said that the game was a bit flat and needed a goal ! ... Just then Whitehawk scored ! ... Thanks Jack !

Pretty spot on, toon. No point in left right left right back to the goalie possession if you don't do something useful with it. Frannie must be wondering what he has to do to please Jay.

The Whitehawk no. 7 has to be the smallest player ever seen at the Gallagher (except the Maidstone United under 11 team)

Embarrassing defeat I but I thought they derserved it. Beaten at home again by a well organised side, they were quick, strong and that moment of brilliance for their goal was the difference, something we haven't got at the moment. Serious money at whitehawk no wonder they beat us, their forwards were sharp...

A familiar pattern repeating itself with a lack of creativity in the final third Too often our front players are chasing lost causes or hopeful lumps And yet the team's most skillful and creative talent is instructed to play deep in front of the defence Jack Paxman has so much to offer the team, but in the role that he plays, it is more suited to someone of Jack Parkinson's abilities. Shame that JP's star is starting to fade a bit with some regular substitutions. Jay knows that a shake-up is needed, great defensively but not nearly enough offensively. Stopping the opposition scoring has been the team's priority to now Probably time for JS to tweak both the tactics and the team
