Not all loyal supporters who have been there for years feel that they have to join any club, We all help in our own way, we support our side in different ways, regulars at games home and away, it would be a great gesture by the club to provide transport to those heathens who are not members of any supporters club to be part of this big day for once im reading this as if you are expecting free travel, why should the club provide transport for you. You still have to pay for the seat which will be more than the fiver to join. Its about security ,the club wants to know who is traveling on its coaches to away games. Security argument is nonsense. The club can easily take people's details without needing to charge a fiver on top. It's not like joining one of the cliques involves an in depth CRB style check.

Those badges cost money ,they are given when you join ,its a fiver that goes back into the club ,are you some sort of freeloading gypo?. Well done for completely missing the point. Not missing any point. so far you want someone else to pay for a membership for you. and you also want a free badge ,is that the iMUSC badge ,or that silly goat one with FC Koln on it . If you don't like the rule then don't join Ill spell it out lots of clubs in the world charge a nominal charge of some sort for Membership of fan/supporters clubs ,most give away freebies for joining ,when you join you get privileges ,such as priority for tickets ,or maybe reduced travel and THIS club wants to know who travels with them

I am driving to the game but I agree with Grizzlystone, those who either cant drive or don't want to drive, should , as they have for many years, be given a chance for a seat on the coach .

Sorry forgot to mention, I to have used the coach many times and had great times , But have never needed to be a member of any supporters club why now To prevent drunken beer tossers causing mischief. this made me chuckle.... you mean to carry drunken beer tossers to the game well about 50% of them anyway haha

Coaches (in the Kent league days anyway) were run independently from the club, ergo the perceived freedom. They've been brought in-house now and it's "Official" - the club have dictated to use this official transport you need to be a member of either the supporter club (£5) or their fan club (£15). Now, at the risk of sounding like an arse - There's nothing stopping people organising their own Independent coaches again if they don't like the current set-up. For example wasn't there an "unofficial" coach to Calais?

We're in the 1st round of the Cup for the first time in over 20 years, we're having a cracking league campaign, Margate lost tonight, our reserve/youth side won a penalty shoot-out. Are we happy?
No, we'd much rather have a pointless, silly, spat on the forum...
Magic.

freedom of speech ..... an open debate ..... very happy with all you stated johndaubneyslegs , I personally will be driving to the cup game , but do feel I am free to say what I like when I like I do not see it as ' a pointless, silly, spat...' but a discussion and supporters voicing the views , of which they are entitled, or are we going to have to join 'a club' to be able to chat on here soon ? so our thoughts can not be aired if they are not what one of the 'clubs' want to discuss ? (please note this is a tongue in cheek comment, those of you with no sense of humour)

Shouldn't this debate be in the "away to Stevenage in the fa cup" thread?

Shouldn't this debate be in the "away to Stevenage in the fa cup" thread? Using knowledge from how other clubs work usually you are a member to travel with the official travel but I know when big away games come along they are usually happy to open it up to anyone but of course take name, contact details and payment etc. I'll be driving but I think a restriction on coach travel will limit numbers travelling.

Oh deat...what have I started. I certainly wasn't having a moan, simply asked the question and am quite happy to pay the fiver. One more question though, since I can't get to the trophy game this Saturday, how do I sign up to imusc and book myself on the coach in time for next week. Couldn't you just come on to the forum and not cause a load of grief? Always starting arguments and then standing back and saying it wasn't you.

There should be about 10 coaches costing £20 for adults and you shouldn't have to be a member!

I think it's a case of poor behaviour and drunkenness from unknown people in the past, combined with stricter coach regulations sometimes enforced by the police. There is really not much choice but to know who is travelling with your organisation, in case of an incident. Correct have one of my house points but none of the kisses from Nadine!

We have a Travel Club because of incidents that have happened in the past, all minor but those that steward the coach and the club wanted to have something in place to protect those that travel, and the reputation of the club! Sometimes in life there are rules you don't agree with and sometimes there are situations that you don't understand, however we all have to live by them! In the past non members were always charged more for travel than members, this year if you use the coach regularly you save money if you want to use a facility then you have to have play by the rules, if you don't like the rule don't use the facility! There really isn't a discussion to be had, is there?

You should'nt have to be a memember for this game to get on the coach. You could potentially have loads going up so why deter people from going by having to pay and extra fiver. This is a one off and it should be treated like that. What would we have done if we were like Tun Wells going to Wembley when they had about 50 coaches, charge everyone an extra fiver! I won't be going by coach anyway but it seems to me it would be bad idea to stick to the membership rule for this match. This is the sort of fixture that could get extra fans coming along to home games in the future so we should do everything we can do get as many to the game as possible. Anyway my own opinion thats all, queue the abuse :)xx

So the rules that were discussed at the start of the season are ok when we have one coach but because we have more coaches with more people we don't know we should scrape the rules? Makes sense! If we get to the playoffs, we should drop the rule about smoking and chewing gum in the ground, we wouldn't want to deter some people attending would we?
