All the people who have used away coach travel so far have had to be members, so why suddenly should people who want to go to one big cup game not have to be. If anything it is more important that people are members for this game than any other, as it is likely because of the likely numbers travelling and the fact that a lot wont have done so by coach before, there will be a number of people 'not known' to the club so tracking them down should the need arise would be more difficult.
Additionally all the coach travel this season done through the club has been for only £10 a trip, i doubt you could get a return coach fare to Stevenage anywhere else for £10, so why should you get the benefits of cheap travel if you dont want to join one of the two clubs.

Anyone is free to hire and sell tickets for their own coach if they don't like the rules.
Once the responsibility for 50 total strangers is theirs, they may wish to draw up a few very basic rules to safeguard everyone.
I don't use coaches, but am very grateful to those who organise the service for the convenience of fellow fans, and for no personal benefit.

There should be about 10 coaches costing £20 for adults and you shouldn't have to be a member! Let's compare your option against what's in place shall we. I'll assume in both cases that someone will use the coach only for this single trip. The current system - one off £5 to join iMUSC + £10 coach fare = £15Your proposal - £0 membership fee + £20 coach fare = £20Something doesn't add up!

Russc - These beer tossing libertarians can pay the £20 and maintain their independence. I will pay £5 less.

I always thought that coach travel should include admission.

I always thought that coach travel should include admission. This is definitely opening a second front wind up! I suggest this thread be ended now.

im reading this as if you are expecting free travel, why should the club provide transport for you. You still have to pay for the seat which will be more than the fiver to join. Its about security ,the club wants to know who is traveling on its coaches to away games. Security argument is nonsense. The club can easily take people's details without needing to charge a fiver on top. It's not like joining one of the cliques involves an in depth CRB style check. Da simmer dabei! Dat is prima! VIVA COLONIA! You know this sort of the doesnt go on at the Rheineenergie you know!!!

So the rules that were discussed at the start of the season are ok when we have one coach but because we have more coaches with more people we don't know we should scrape the rules? Makes sense! If we get to the playoffs, we should drop the rule about smoking and chewing gum in the ground, we wouldn't want to deter some people attending would we? As has been said, if you do not wish to be a member of the club and stick to the rules given, there is nothing to stop anyone hiring their own coach and making their own way up. There is no exclusivity in this coach mularky.

However, from my recent experience of doing the 'whole coach bit' good luck, you'll have to charge alot more than a tenner! If you don't get the money upfront, when you get the 'no shows' that will have to come out of your own pocket! Been there done that, thank god the club have taken it over and all you have to do is become a member of the travel club! Did I mention how you join?

Stevenage secure home draw against non-league Maidstone in FA Cup first round
By Hertfordshire Mercury | Posted: October 27, 2014

Comments (0) STEVENAGE have been drawn at home to Ryman premier leaders Maidstone United in the first round of the FA Cup.
The draw took place at St George's Park tonight (Monday October 27) live on BBC2.
The tie is set to take place on Saturday November 8, unless it gets picked to be shown as a live televised game.
Maidstone play in a plastic pitch, so Boro will be keen to avoid a replay.
