How frustrating isit watching those highlights. Clearly onside. I thought JP and Rodgers were very good last night never easy 2 against 4 in the middle but felt especially second half we controlled the game. Another day FC gets 2/3 and the officials do there job it could have been very different.

Just seen the highlights. I was right behind the goal second half. Difficult to tell on the night conclusively about either wattys shot that hit the bar and what happened after and the disallowed goal. After watching that, my view is benefit of doubt about first incident, but the disallowed goal for offside, never. He seemed to time his run perfectly and behind 4 defenders ffs. Never mind. Thought we were superb.

Just who the hell did that linesman think was offside?
Bit pissed off now I've seen that.

Another bad and critical offside decision, just like the one against Harrow. Indicates to me a series lack of knowledge and ability by the lines man, clearly out of his depth at this level.

It suggests bad eye sight.
I am sure he knows the offside rule. The free kick was taken quickly and there were many bodies in there. I suggest he just made a mistake.
There were loads of touch and go offside decisions and this was the only one that went against us. Just a shame that it was the only one we scored!
As for him being out of his depth, I would suggest that this one decision does not really indicate this at all.

Appreciate he may just have made a mistake but it wasn't even close to being correct. The point is the linesman flagged for offside against a player he wasn't even watching and reacted to appeals from defenders, it was a bad call and one I'm sure even the Margate fans would admit they got away with

I'm getting confused with the quick free kick that led to the cross bar hand ball incident!
As you were

Knowing the offside law is one thing interpreting it is what makes the difference hence my comment about the guy being out of this depth, it may have been the only offside decision that went against us but lets be honest it really was the one that should have counted. Thats what makes a good official. I am sure Jay and Steve were not too pleased !!!!!

It wasn't close or debateable, it was clearly NOT offside.
Of course it's difficult watching both the backline and the kick, but isn't that the whole purpose of linesmen - that's their bloody job!
He should have been in line with the back line and checking what was going on while the free kick was being set up and taken. Had he been doing this properly, he would never have flagged offside - simply because no one was within a country mile of being offside.
