if we cant go up will we sell players as no point having the wage bill high More likely players looking to further their career`s wont come here, and those we already have will want out. And while i`m here, what happens should the vote go against us regarding end of season playoffs ?. Should we make them i presume our place would be taken from the team finishing in 6th. Finishing top would certainly cause a bit of head scratching.

Oliver seems confident that if we do get promoted via winning or play offs that we will be aloud to play on 3G in the conni so he must know something we don't. Dose that render today's vote pointless ?

The vote was always pointless. The way it's structured we would never get a yes. Unfortunately if it were just for the north/south it'd still go the same way. To much politics / local teams knowing we'd overtake them.
We'll still get promoted (providing the first team is upto it).

Thats a lot closer than i thought to be honest, it would be good to see the split in the votes and where our 11 votes came from, was it the North and South that voted along with Sutton and 2 other Conference premier teams or did more premier teams vote for it, im kinding hoping both the north and south leagues voted in favour that way the conference board could allow us into the south league for an agreed number of years

That may be because they thought Maidstone a better long term Conference bet than Tonbridge (who can blame them?) and may be rethinking that in light of this vote, but I believe they dropped down as they were struggling with all the travelling at the higher level. Others may choose to stay because they'd prefer to play in front of bigger crowds in a well run club. Yet others I hope will be determined to show heap pressure on the Conference by ensuring we win the Ryman Premier.

Is it me or was this vote just a formality in the hope the conference would want to work with us?
I'm no lawyer, but even I can see the floors in that vote and the way it was done. The conference are merely using the vote to hide behind their own members in a "see, our clubs don't want it" way.
Personally I think the lawyers will be rubbing their hands at that, there is pressure from the league we're in, a league who have embraced the pitch. FIFA and UEFA, the highest governing bodies in World Football approve these pitches for the best (and most expensive) footballers in the World.
The FA endorse these pitches, you really think the FA would want us going above their heads to talk to UEFA and FIFA about using these pitches at non-league level?
The fact the Conference did not disclose the facts to the voting clubs?.......The Conference are on very rocky ground here, and all they have done is secure their one and only argument in a slightly skewed vote.
Oliver is right to remain confident.....we just have to make sure we stick by him and the team.

If the FA endorse 3G pitches, why have they imposed the limit on the FA cup to qualifying rounds only? Or is this another prime example of them being spineless again?
