Surely the vote is today. Let's not get downhearted until we know they'be rejected us. Keep the faith.

Also the words "so called" might have been a small clue. Lighten up, gents. I couldn't agree more with what Toon said in his post - good stuff! - but I can't think of too many football chairmen I'd be inclined to call 'educated' (although of course Daniel Levy does have a degree in farming). That's why he keeps pig then! They always said if pigs could fly, white hart lane would be an airport. Anyway, me think a lot of these clubs are worried what Maidstone can achieve if we get into the conference.

Best of Luck today guys! Apologies for our chairman being a dinosaur (& some of our fans) I hope they give you the green light, & be the catalyst to give the powers above at the FL & FA to follow suit.

Don't you worry about that, we just want a trip to Crabble next season ! But thanks for your support.

Cheers OTU, We have spoken before, I am Mark on the Dover forum. Apologies for some of our 'members' attitudes. For reasons you probably saw, I dont post on there too often, but 3G was something that I am keen to see, so I put my tuppence worth in.

Appreciate it Mark, don't get me wrong, I'm all for "football should be played on grass" but at our level the grass pitches simply aren't good enough and Tony Burmans statement says it all "there's enough technology and ingredients to make pitches right".......followed by "there's something wrong at the moment with our pitch"...........clearly there isn't enough technology and ingredients. Apologies for my insinuation the 3G used at your academy wasn't of the same quality as that at the Gallagher Stadium. Incidentally, have you been to the GS?

Not been in the ground, but had a good look from up behind the main stand. Looks a nice setup, & I was hoping Dover would have arranged a PSF there. Having played on 3G at the Dartford football centre, I was amazed how far artificial pitches had come, & being a keeper I was expecting burn injuries similar to those suffered on the old pitches. It really is a no brainer at non league level to have one if the opportunity is there. MUFC have taken the lead, & I really hope common sense prevails. For the record, I heard through the grapevine that Folkestone Invicta were offered one, but turned it down. If that is true, that is real stupidity going by the standard of their pitch & their money troubles. (I think the council were going to weigh out for it)

(I think the council were going to weigh out for it) If ever you get a free Saturday or Tuesday evening, then make sure you come down to see a match, who knows if you wear you're Dover shirt you may even get in for free on the basis of "research" I've played on 3G pitches and had the privilige of going onto the pitch at the GS, so you can see our frustation when it gets put in the same category as the old astroturf pitches. I can honestly tell you that the most common phrases we hear at the GS by away fans, are "After 5mins I'd forgotten it was 3G" and "It's a no brainer really" The Ryman League Cup Final was played there last season, we've had the army play there, and an England C international. I've heard that about Folkestone as well, I think we had a small degree of funding for our pitch but I'm sure most of the new ground (and pitch) was paid for by the owners.

If its not passed today then what happens to our season? We could end up in a play off final with nothing to play for, would be a bit weird knowing we could win and no team goes up!
