So now your the better fan!!! as senokian sadi we are all knew fans so help us to learn how to be as good as you! you lot always go on about the old days if you liked villages so much go and watch it again!! you kept the club warm for us just like the old chairman managers and players did now we have a ground and proper chairman manager players and fans that actually support theplayers!!! Listen my friend I am one of those pesky newbies, I have a seat in the stands but can also be seen dotted around the ground. What people are saying is there is this simple pleasure of being able to stand where you want, I asked before what do you do when you go to away games, it's impossible to stand in one end, the Wealdstone away game was a prime example when we stood behind the way we were shooting towards, there may have been only 150 of us but we out sung the home fans, we are all supporters of Maidstone, regardless of the time we have followed them, I take my hat off to the hard core supporters who followed Maidstone during the wilderness years, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be having this conversation now.....COYS

No one is saying that anyone is a better fan. Read through some older posts and you'll find that the old vs new thing really does get my back up. I'm happy that we are back and we have well over a thousand more people watching games. Have a walk around the ground and talk to a few people. You'll find some that have only been going this season and some that have been watching the Stones since the 50s. I've worked at every premiership, championship and league one ground in London and I would rather watch football at our level than any of those grounds. As Toon says the club is more than the stadium and the players. Try and get out of your bubble to see the much bigger picture.

I spent years boozing at away games making an arse of myself with plenty of others but don't drink anymore. May I ask you what you view of the pitch is like and can you see all four corners. From the small amount of times I have been on the terraces I haven't been able to see all the pitch and some of the times I haven't even been able to see the goal. I could say a "proper fan" should at least see the whole game. Christ JT, your drink problem must have been really bad to not be able to see.

This has got to be a joke right!? How disrespectful can you get!! I'm a newbie, but clearly will be disowned for sitting in the stand! Couple of points Stonenberg, firstly with regards songs we don't have many and if you think we do you're wildly mistaken as others have pointed out. Wealdstone had many more songs than us. Or I could use my home town team Grimsby (Conference Prem) as an example, check this link out fanchants.co.uk/football-team/grimsby-town/ the variety is considerably wider than ours I'm sure you'll agree. Secondly, I'm glad to say our players have a bit more respect than you give them credit for and have always been very respectful and thankful of all our fans from what I've seen!!

Our standing support who think they sing to full capacity to encourage the team are a joke, right ? If you want to sample what committed, loud and continuous singing support is check out FC United of Manchester. OK, we might have differing views on the 'AFC's' ,but those boys sing. I guess the town end are too busy surfing their hand held mobile devices for porn ?

Bollox!!! unlike the glory boys who change ends so they get closer to when we score goals we support the defenders and goalkeeper!! mayb if you spent less time changing ends you cud make more effort supporting the TEAM!!! we have loads of different songs i join in with them all even the 1s i dont like as much thats what proper supporters do!!! OK stoneberg. Have it your way. Stand where you do and sing a continuous round of 'when the Stones'. I was only trying to suggest something that might bring togetherness. Incidentally, I go to a few away games. Would be great if all this passion, drive and loud singing could go to those as well. It always seems to be pretty much those boring regulars that were just keeping the club warm in the wilderness years. Still, like you only go one end and won't talk to other fans I guess you won't go to more than one ground or on the patch of those nasty opposition types. As for joining in songs you don't like because that is what proper supporters do, I have stood in grounds where they sing songs about people dying in Munich or Jock Stein dying in Cardiff. Are you suggesting I was not a proper supporter on those occasions because I didn't join in?
