Bollox!!! unlike the glory boys who change ends so they get closer to when we score goals we support the defenders and goalkeeper!! mayb if you spent less time changing ends you cud make more effort supporting the TEAM!!! we have loads of different songs i join in with them all even the 1s i dont like as much thats what proper supporters do!!! Seems I'm not the only one on acid.

jt a proper supporter is one who supports the whole TEAM!!! not just the forwards! noisy support is what the players love and thats why people join us in the town end. to say we dont have loads of songs is stupid!!! how many does every1 else in the ground have? NONE!!! and why talk to opposition fans IF THEY HAVE ANY!!! there the opposition!!

I like talking to opposition fans. It's friendly and it's civil. I like being friendly and civil. Mind you, like IS I am on acid.

It doesn't matter where you stand, sit, lay down or what ever. It doesn't matter if you sing (out of tune or otherwise). It doesn't matter what end you watch from and it certainly doesn't matter if you talk to the opposition or not. I think you should open your eyes to what non league football is about and enjoy the whole experience. You should enjoy the fact that we do have the option of watching from where we like and are not pushed and shepherded in to small areas. I want to watch from the best seat I can afford as football, rather sadly, is my main hobby. My choice is the VP lounge. I spent years boozing at away games making an arse of myself with plenty of others but don't drink anymore.
Whether you've been to one game this season or have been to all home and away it doesn't matter. Standing in one area and singing doesn't make someone a better supporter than anyone else.

I like to talk to the other fans as well, I am also civilised like IS and stonedlove, don't see the point of goading, threatening and throwing beer over away supporters, sends out the wrong image, we are Maidstone not the inferior stones from up the road

We newbies still need to learn about the habits/ protocols of non league football. Give us time to learn & guide us as to these protocols. Remember together we are United.

I suppose I am telling you to widen your experience of a Saturday afternoon at the Gallagher. It has been said so many times that people like to stand all over the ground. I personally don't like the terraces as I don't like being around a lot of pissed people anymore. I'm also part Welsh and have perfect pitch to the noise you call singing is quite an assault on my eardrums.
I suppose I have always committed a sin by always go to a Cray game early so I can chat to some of my oldest friends who support Cray. Will it make me less of a fan when I go in the members bar at the Met police away game and talk to some of my work mates?
May I ask you what you view of the pitch is like and can you see all four corners. From the small amount of times I have been on the terraces I haven't been able to see all the pitch and some of the times I haven't even been able to see the goal. I could say a "proper fan" should at least see the whole game.

I think you'll find the players actually applaud all areas of the ground, including us obviously inferior supporters who like to watch our football sitting down. Still why let the facts get in the way of a good self-love fest.

It's happened. I've lost my place as number 1 arse on the forum. Oh well, there's been a lot of competition but no chance now.
