Interesting to see the lack of fans using the burger bars yesterday. The price hikes have been mentioned briefly on here before but it did look like fans were voting with their feet and unwilling to pay high prices for very standard fayre. Tea and coffee good value though.. just the food that is too expensive in my opinion.

Contrary to popular perception, football fans AREN'T stupid (not all of then anyway) and when there's the option for superior and cheaper food elsewhere in the vicinity then people are going to rethink their nice meal plans for the day.
I still long for the day the club keeps the catering "in-house" - if these outsiders can pay rent and still make it worth their while then surely it can be run for the club, with lower prices and everyone's a winner.
Although like much, there's quite likely a reason why this can't be the case

I expect with all thethings haapening since the srtdium opened, promotion and ground improvements its not yet been possible to sort out catering facilities hence they are out sourced.
Interesting to note on the Billericay forum they compared our food prices to like being at Wembley

If you brng the catering 'in house' you've got to make sure it's quick enough! Yes, the price are too high, but even when they had big queues last season you were served quickly If in house means Gatwck type service then no thanks, I'd rather pay another pound and see the game!

Have the prices increased big time the? I mainly only use the bars, as long as the stone lager stays at £3 a pint I am happy
