Getting this thread back on track, I think the food is over priced and the very few times I have got food from the vans I have been disappointed not only in the cost but also the quality, I give it a wide berth now and will do until the quality matches the price which at the moment it doesn't, I don't mind paying £4 for something decent but the burgers we are currently being served up are very poor, the pies in the spitfire lounge on the other hand are very nice

For me it comes down to total match day spend.
With fares, entrance, programme, burger, and a couple of beers that comes to £30.
On a tight family budget, a poor quality overpriced burger between meals is an easy saving.
The percentage saving is even greater when I bring my child who gets in free.
I wonder how much other fans spend on the whole match day ritual.

The seasider was quite a decent pint. I didn't even know Margate had any local brews but it was a very pleasant surprise.

I visited the shepard neame brewery a couple of years ago, and tasted a nice little drop calle 1692, or something like that it was the name of a year anyway, that was really nice Indeed a very fine bottle condidtioned ale, don't think you can get it draught. I've had draught Bishops a few times but it only seems to be available in the winter.

Indeed, the polystyrene cups for tea and coffee from the food outlet are actually smaller than the usual ones you get given everywhere else.
