I was working, but Dulwich were 2-0 up, with 12 minutes or so to go, when a wall collapsed at the Dulwich end, nobody hurt.

That was announced at our game. Seems a bit harsh that you might have to play it again when your were 2-0 up. Still, if you do we will be hoping it's a draw.

From the Ryman League handbook
7.4 In the event of a match being abandoned before the completion of 90 minutes with neither club being at fault, the game shall be played on the same ground on a date to be fixed by the Board;
8.3.4 In the event of a match being abandoned due to the conduct of one Club or its members or supporters the Board has the power to order that the match is not replayed and to award either one or three points to the Club not at fault. It cannot levy a financial penalty due to the conduct of a Club.
8.5 Each Club must take every precaution to keep its ground in good playing condition and amenities (including floodlights) in good working order and complying with the Criteria Document throughout the Playing Season. Any Club without just cause failing to fulfil an engagement to play a Competition match on the appointed date shall for each offence be liable to expulsion from the Competition and/or such other disciplinary action the Board may determine, including the deduction of up to a maximum of three points from the offending Club’s record, any expenses incurred by their opponents, and a fine.
So... WORST CASE - Leatherhead at fault for dodgy facilities and are penalised BEST CASE - Dulwich at fault for the fans/players destroying the wall and Leatherhead get the points MOST LIKELY - Play the game all over again

It did if you were a Leatherhead player and were 2-0 down. You'd take anything you could.

Gotta feel sorry for the Dulwich fans, travelling all that way, paying their well earned money, just to have the game abandoned. I hope Helmetman wasn't one of them. Still bitter.

anyone with half a brain should have recognised that the blocks used to build a perimiter fence wouldnt surfice. theres no anchorage or starter bars in the 1st or 2nd course to take people leaning on it. what balloon head ever thought it would? you can see not all the blocks arent filled with mortar for a start. melon heads.

If there was no one hurt and there was only twelve minutes left why not simply move away the blocks and rope off the area and finish the game??

Surge of the enourmous crowd must have been too much. Glad nobody hurt though.

Have to say I have a huge degree of sympathy for Dulwich here, they were 2 up with 5mins to go and it was apparently the Leatherhead players (in particular their no 9...you know much we loved him when we went there) who wanted it abandoned.
Whilst I agree this is an outstanding piece of optimism which has paid off, I find it particularly unsporting to walk off the pitch, pumping the air in celebration, when quite clearly they were about to lose. Not ever a pleasant experience going to Leatherhead.
I also have sympathy for last week as well as when I arrived at the ground it was clear so much hard work had been put in to try and get the game on we all wanted to see.
Let's not become arrogant like the afc dons of this world who were just "passing through"
Dulwich deserve the respect as they have been beaten in the play off final for the last 2 seasons and are quite clearly a good side (they play some of the best football in he league on one of the worst pitches......arguably)
Great to see King score today

Let us all hope that no one was injured today. We all go to a football match to support our teams and have a good afternoon out. Best wishes all .

Sure, last week was a fiasco at Dulwich and porky is feeling smug because he bailed out of the trip early. However: a) I understand that Dulwich are in deep deep trouble financially, so can understand their desire for a payday. b) Dulwich are one of the iconic London football brands. Look through your 'First 100 Years Of Ryman Football' if you want to know your history. c) There are some quality people associated with the Dulwich club. Dulwichmishi is an absolute quality star of the non league scene. d) Think of the service DHFC provide to the local community in that troubled part of South East London, running youth teams etc etc and perhaps keeping the yoot off the streets and focussed on football rather than other more immediate priorities for young men. e) London is littered with sites of old abondoned football grounds, some derelict, some now housing estates etc. It would be a tragedy if Edgar Kail Way became a site for houses for upwardly mobile & trendy young city workers .

If, as Islandstone suggests (and it is his area of expertise), the wall was not correctly built then surely the points should be awarded to Dulwich.
Regardless of the fact that it might suit us for that not to happen, it seem the just thing to do.
