I've no idea what Maidstone's weekly wage budget is but I believe ours in in the region of £1,500. (Yours ought to be lot higher than ours when your crowds are five times the size, then again I don't know whether you're still paying off the cost of building the ground, or saving for further ground improvements.) I believe our break-even figure for attendances is about 800, and this includes budgeting for repayments on the cost of building the ground, so our playing budget is not as large as our crowds would suggest. I don't think that there is any plan to increase our playing budget this season as the large crowds are forcing the club to look at expansion of the ground (at a cost of around £500k, I think it was) much earlier than expected. I really hope that Dulwich can somehow regain control of the ground situation. It's a fantastic location, the Main Stand is superb and there is plenty of room for additional terracing. The site has potential for a great deal of community use (3G in the main ground or not), considering the location, facilities (not only the ground itself, but also the fields behind the ground) and presumably local demand (I doubt there is much room for sports facilities in that part of London, and I wonder how many schools have poor or non-existent sports facilities). I suspect, though, that the ongoing uncertainty is a large hindrance to any such ambitions that the club might have.

Good post Pinkpanther & good luck to you for the season ( well, apart from on 19 Feb ............... ). Sorry, but we can't be wishing them luck for the season. If they get the luck, they get the title. "Good luck for the playoffs" I'll be diplomatic and say I hope we play Maidstone in the league next season, because if we do it certainly won't be a Division 1 fixture, and if Hamlet are in the play off final for a third year running I think we'll have home advantage this time.

Sadly, Leatherhead will nick the title by two points from Dulwich after winning a replayed 'wallgate' game when the number 9 drills a shot through the Hamlet wall, from a free kick, 12 minutes from time.
PS Rich, I am glad to see you stayed away from the dreadful thuggery that occurred at Leatherhead. Damaging other grounds and costing your team points. Shocking from your fans ;D

Tom Bradbrook really is a classless t**t compared to his brother. He was "buzzing" about this "result" on twitter. Normally I'd think Duwich were been a bit sensitive about players having a go at the ref to get the game off, especially after the hoo-harr of our game. But as its Leatherhead.........
