Sub zero temperatures through the week, Saturday can't be too clever either. I know it's easy to say, but investing all that money and making a big song and dance about "all weather" you would have thought a cover would have been obtained.

It's simple , it's not an all weather pitch. Must be renamed to all weather except snow!!

"The winter approaches and we shall no doubt soon have a chance to see if our 3G pitch lives up to its reputation and ensures football at the Gallagher when there is none elsewhere. One thing we have to do is prepare to rid our car park and also the road and footpaths coming down to the stadium of snow and ice so that if the pitch is playable we do not fall foul of access problems"
Yep a cover should have been purchased. The independent supporters club would have helped with the rest.

I find it incredible that you spend in excess of half a million pounds for a 3g pitch and nobody thought it maybe a good idea to have asked for a cover, i thought the whole idea of 3g is games would go ahead whatever the weather, i think the game being cancelled will set the argument back and other clubs will probably not be interested installing such a pitch

Spot on toon.
Why not just lay a grass pitch with undersoil heating.Other clubs up and down the country have at least tried to get their games on with help from local fans but we have failed at the first hurdle.

The pitch covers would need to be rolled up somewhere and there is hardly load sof space around the sides is there/Also, the piles of snow aren't going to disappear.
Honestly, some people just love to moan.
It snows for 2 weeks in a year for gods sake.

"Honestly, some people just love to moan"
Tell that to Oliver when he is having a good old moan about the playing surfaces of other clubs or the loss of revenue that postponements incur, you could become his new PR man.

It is one game. I don't think there is enough room down there to have a pitch cover.
I cannot believe the level of moaning.
