It`s a conversation about the merits of a 3G pitch.A 3G pitch that was installed (At great cost)on the understanding that these situations would`t arise, or to the best of my knowledge would`t arise. If you read the "Blog" section on the official site you will see time after time our board championing the use of 3G pitches up and down the league structure, but low and behold some 30 odd hours prior to our first game in the well publicised downfall of snow, without a call for help in clearing the ground and surrounding area`s the game has been postponed.

Well it has risen and I'm sure that the owners will now look into this for next season and realise they made a mistake. 2(probably) games off over a snowy period because Terry, Bill and Oliver didn't invest in a cover/salt, it's not good enough is it really... Chill out guys (literally) snow happens... Much love

People moan when Dulwich (having done their best to get the game on) call it off at short notice Now people moan when we (having done nothing to get the game on) call it off and give ample notice.
Not that people like moaning.
Cue NWS debate about moaning about moaning (about moaning...)

It's not just the pitch though is it. You are correct when you say its not only the pitch but i am pretty sure if a request had went out for assistance in clearing the access to the ground they would have got a good response

This postponement is disappointing, but hardly surprising. We have on two previous occasions got matches on when all, or nearly all other non-league games were off, so it's nonsense to say we have fallen at the first hurdle. Also, a grass pitch with under soil heating that is being touted here as a solution would be little more likely to have been playable and does not allow for the intensive usage our pitch gets.
Even if the pitch was fit for play, away fans may have found it difficult to get to the match with current transport conditions. An early postponement means that people will not be wasting their time trying to get to a match that gets called off at the last minute.

its the simple fact that they cant get the snow of the pitch without damageing it.

Yes i can see the 500 or so people coming from Folkestone would be affected by the conditions, i keep forgetting the massive support the teams in our league bring to the Gallaghers and yes i am taking the p*ss

Some weather even 3/4g can't cope with. I'm amazed that this postponement has given some people a reason to criticize the club.
