Well. That first half was excellent. Corne, Tayt supreme. When we get the ball to Benton in the final third he was excellent too. Wingers looked brilliant. Blair had their defence on toast.
Defence did what they had to most of the time. Andre crucial save at 2-0.
Everyone did well. We were properly at it and combative.
Let’s talk about them. That first half, they were shocking. They gave us the ball in dangerous positions so often. They didn’t win any battles. Can see why they down there. They were better second half but the game was done.
Kane was particularly bad. Thier usually good Kepler had a bad game

Aleksis jr dishing up big servings of humble pie again fill your bowl daveeu 😃 One good game doesn’t change anything. If he continues to play like that all well and good but it doesn’t make my opinion of his earlier form any less valid.

Looking forward to some time on the Ebbsfleet forum this evening. They were really laying into the team at the end.

With good reason. We were as bad as you were good. Congratulations, and best of luck in the draw. We are looking more like an Isthmian premier team abd the moment. In that squad of 18 we gad about 5 reasonable players, 3 of whom were on the bench. And the best defender remained on the bench. We are as bewildered as you are as to just how bad were were/are.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Corne was immense and Trusty not far behind, but everyone put in a good shift. Great to see Blair getting a couple, while Papadopoulos goal was at the end of a very slick team move. All the things we've been missing were there this afternoon. Ok, Fleet were poor, but don't forget we struggled to dominate Herne Bay not that long ago. Today we had pace, invention and flair. If we can continue to play that way over the next two home games (Slough and Hemel), then the 2500 home fans who came today will be very happy to return.

Such a good all round team performance. What Stones players disappointed ? NONE ! Coming after the Worthing effort, it looks like George has got the team playing together at last. Loads of boxes ticked today. I'm guessing that the moaners will take the evening off from their keyboards. Very encouraging.

Just voted for Blair for MoM but Corne and Paps were exceptional too.

Really bossed it today Tbh Ebbsfleet hardly threatened at all. Shame we can't play them every week. So comfortable in the end. Pity the match wasn't more competitive tbh

And one good performance doesn’t invalidate my opinion. He needs to show more of what he showed today and less of the hesitation and miscommunication of his early season form.

I didn't go but, I can imagine how we played, we have been absolutely dreadful bar one game which we drew against Aldershot. Anyhow you had to do the business, and you did. This is by far the worse Fleet side I've ever seen, which doesn't help when the manager hasn't got a clue where to play players. Good luck in the next round, hopefully someone who will give you a game.

Super Captain Corne!!
Excellent reaction from their fans (the few that were left) towards the players at the end. Their manager ran over to applaud the fans, realised the gestures they were making weren't exactly applause, and turned back.
Deep problems at Northfleet. can they sack two managers in a season?
All players did well today - apart from Captain Corne, standouts were Eweka, Brookes, Blair, Seaman and Papadopoulos - and (much to my surprise) Andre, who made some Covolandish saves. Benton and Trusty (or Tasty, as my daughter calls him!) had good games as well. In fact, scratch all that, the whole team played out of their skins!
Fleet were crap in the first half, but gave us a pretty hard game in the second - but we held firm, and could even have scored another one or two.
More of the same in the League, please!
The Mighty Stones are back!
AND back in the FA Cup proper!!

Played some nice stuff in 3 or 4 minute spells but so poor at the back that the game had gone. Do you regret staying up?

Thier usually good Kepler had a bad game Kane was outstandingly bad - he kept us amused all afternoon! He looked more like a fan who had blagged his way onto the team. Although the average fan would have actually played better. We should have played fair and brought on Lodivica to balance things up...

Don't really understand why a couple of our 'Gods' still fail to appreciate the merits of Stones keeper.
Andre is a good signing imo.
A bit flamboyant for some but nothing wrong with a big personality
