So, here we are, the morning of our biggest game of the season (so far), a (nominally) huge local derby against the old enemy and all coming on the back of a very good win (and performance) against Worthing last week. And yet it seems the lack of interest is almost deafening. No specific thread, no speculation about team choices etc etc. Is it because we have but a single win at home this season (H&R in the cup) and no performances of any merit, that have sucked the life out the Gallagher and by dint of that, any enthusiasm for this game? Certainly hope not, though we do seem to make hard work of things at home. Am sure Ebbsfleet will come and do what everyone else does - sit back and hope our sideways/backwards football eventually breaks down so they can get the away goal and see out the game. You'd think their confidence will be low. However, this is The Cup and sides struggling in the league often raise their game because the pressure is off. Who knows? Be nice if both teams really give it a go and the Gallagher gets to see a really exciting, all action game for once. A decent referee would be good too. It's not too much to ask, is it?

I’ve been looking forward to it all week. Not because it’s Ebbsfleet so much:
I think the forum is a bit low key the last few months. It’s become hard to discuss anything. Discussion always leads to a difference of opinion and that seems to be something that some members can’t live with without being divisive and often insulting.
We will have a decent chance of winning today. If they take the game lightly, for sure, but I am not sure they will. Looking at it in the cold light of day, they are the favourites. They are having a shocker though so you never know.
I just hope the game is a good advert for Kent football and that we win. Can do without the sideshow that follows us in big games.

Let's be fair numbers, you have a played a full part in running down team performances this season. Not alone, but consistent. Gets difficult to engage with people who always seem to be knocking the side and whose glass is never more than half full.

Positivity on the forum is few and far between.
Feels sometimes that I'm spitting into the wind.
Still looking forward to today. Hopefully there will be a good atmosphere.
Just a shame they havn't sorted out segregation.
Tbh I think it could go either way.

Ebbsfleet may be down in the dumps in the National League but where would the Stones be ? Def no better.
Nothing really to compare the clubs as playing at different levels.
Tbf I thing Ebbsfleet must start as favourites but it's all on the day.
Need a good performance from the boys in black and amber.

Best first half of the season. By miles. Suddenly, we have a midfield. And wingers. And pace. And even a bit of flair. f**k me, even the officials aren't biased! More please...
