First home league game of the season and a long trek for our visitors. Ought to be a decent crowd, with the weather set fair and no doubt lots of interest in what our new team looks like. Stadium changes too, while I might even buy a programme.
After the very positive result last weekend, it would be nice to follow it with another win and a decent performance. However, attractive football comes second to a clean sheet in George's plans, so we may have to wait for that.
An early test for how we compare with Dorking too. They won at Truro last weekend, so matching that result would be an early pointer to how we might get on overall? One game at a time of course...

It's August, so a big crowd is unlikely, and I would dispute your description of last week's game. Job done, just, clean sheet, three points. But nothing to stir the loins.

This is the time of year when thousands of people head to Cornwall for their holidays alas the numbers migrating in the opposite direction towards us will be firmly in the double figure bracket.Segregation not in place makes sense to me as any travelling fans who could easily spend 8 hours getting here need to be treated with respect and not penalised with segregation. A crowd of 3000 is unlikely but not totally out of the question but i think families will find better ways to spend a Saturday than spending shed loads of money for 90 minutes entertainment,entertainment that is not guaranteed. I see know reason why we should not pick up 3 points but then I'm sure Dartford fans thought the same at home to Potters Bar. Alas I am in no fit condition to attend and will be missing the next few games as well but I wish you all a good day and COYS!

Reading the above without looking who posted it, I thought this guy is talking some sense.
'Wisdom of Solomon' and all that.
Then I looked up and say it was swordy, presumably in one of his more reflective moods.

For sure you can always rely on sword, for a well thought out, rationale and cool headed analysis, on all things football, especially when it's about to our beloved club.

BetFred have us as overwhelming favourites at 5/8 with Truro way out at 18/5. The draw is good value at 13/5.

Seems that Stones Live are having trouble broadcasting on Tune In. I have tried their website but the problem seems to remain. I can hear an old broadcast of Fred's referring to Kyps, not sure which game that might have been.
Anyone able to hear today's game?

Thanks PWE, after repeated attempts I can now hear the live broadcast. Still some ongoing problems as Fred cannot hear Joe sometimes. I did not hear an explanation as to what the problems were.

First impression of the new team is that nobody stands out as looks special and we are struggling to find a telling pass. Hit and hope...
