The Vice President Lounge looks down on everyone else as they delicately nibble on hot Lobster Thermidor whilst sipping the Moët & Chandon Dom Perignon White Gold through crystal flutes. The look down on the Amber Lounge as irritating nouveau arriviste’s.
The Amber Lounge look up to the Vice Presidents Lounge lusting after the Lobster and car parking place. They sullenly munch on their cold prawn sandwiches wondering where it all went wrong. The look down at the Stands and the whining elderly folk who constantly shout incoherent tactical nonsense towards the home dugout.
The Stands look up at the Amber Lounge (literally) and genuflect towards the Vice `president Lounge. The concentrate on sucking the filling out of their pre-packed Ham and Cheese sandwiches. They look down at the Springfield End and are mildly sympathetic to their plight of having half their standing area removed for away fans and their long walk to the toilets.
The Town End look up towards the Vice Presidents and Amber lounge as a far distant unobtainable Shangri La. They secretly lust for a stands seat, especially on a wet and rainy evening. They would like a hot pie but cannot face the long walk around the ground to get it. They look down at the Town End and despise their proximity to the bar, pie shop and toilets.
The Vice Presidents Lounge, Amber Lounge, Stands and Springfield End all look down at the Town End and wonder if there is a genetic anomaly being exhibited.
The Town End does not give a toss, they are all too busy singing, enjoying themselves, the football and attempting to drink the bar dry. The only thing they wave is two fingers at everyone else.

What jobsworth thought up this new change of rules ?
Changes for the sake of changes because some jobsworth muppet though to impose their political correct view.
It was never an issue last season, so why change something that was a non issue. Vanity that is why, and an over opinionated self importance from the fools that thought up the change for the sake of their overinflated ego's. I am sure we'll hear the blame is FA, new League etc etc. But frankly that is Boll&&cks.
By the way I don't smoke , apart from when I encounter petty jobsworth beurocracy when I see it.

From my position of omnipotent overview I think the C2H5OH component was mainly responsible for causing delays. One can but hope for normal service resuming for tomorrow.

I am genuinely sorry to hear about Margate’s issues as more than enough non-league teams seem to have money/chairman/ground/player wage issues. It’s a wonder that so many of them survive, often very hand-to-mouth.
One of the villains of the piece are the over-paid fools at the FA who do not fully appreciate non-league and do not ensure enough funding trickles down from the top of the pyramid.
I am sure Margate will regroup and find a level (Ryman premier perhaps) in which they can rebuild and thrive. I feel sorry for their long suffering fans and hope it all comes good for them.
I find it difficult to comprehend some of our fan’s gloating after our own recent history and near-misses.

I find it difficult to comprehend the vitriol and character assignation posted by so called Maidstone United supporters on this forum. I have to wonder if they are Margate or Gillingham fans in disguise ?
Why would any true supporter undermine first teams players in such a manner ? Surely we want to get behind our players and support then (thick or thin) as we challenge for top spot or hopefully a place in the play-off’s. This sort of vitriolic post is frankly unhelpful and undermines not just the individual in the sniper-scope but, also the whole team effort.
I remember similar character assassinations of first team players in previous seasons, I am sure many can remember similar appalling abuse levelled at Frannie Colin on the forum and other players. One has to wonder at the mind-set of the people posting such rubbish.
Everyone is entitled to a view but, it does not need to be sort of vitriol and abuse.

Blimey this is so so depressing !!!
A serious thread about away travel with many decent supporters having booked coach travel. So of no small interest to genuine away travelling supporters.
Almost immediately a genuinely information thread is hijacked by the self loving mumpties for their own self masturbatory interests. If your not called Tim bugger off this thread and bore yourselves somewhere else. Self important over opinionated twatts.

I wonder if you can block by a persons forum designation ?
Blocking 'Omnipotent" and "God' at one stroke would be excellent. They are all like a bad dose of Herpes, you just cannot get rid of them.

I think the scoreboard really added something to the game and the general match day experience. It was a superb piece of kit but, I suspect a little out of our league, mores the pity. But, I hope the club will see the temporary scoreboard as a success and explore avenues to get us a permeant one, even if it is not quite up to the temporary ones high resolution and clarity.

Not saying it could have been sited anywhere else, but surely it could have been more attractive visually. I'm sure an expert will come and shoot me down, but could it not have been a wider rectangular area rather than the narrow triangle that it is? In my experience functionality is cheaper than being asthetically pleasing . Not sure I have seen facilities that are as new, disability complaint anywhere else on away day travels. Cheaper and less intrusive, expensive and future blocking is even better. There is a nice path from the vp entrance up a reasonable incline to the disabled area. Lifts are expensive to maintaine

I can only wish Oliver and Terry all success in recovering decent profit from their substantial investment and in effect a long term gamble.
But the costs of the stadium expansion do appear on face value extremely high. I speak from experience of several health centre and hospital builds; a different domain I accept but, balls were involved in both.
I am assuming the building cost projection has been provided by the current architects who are Donkeys as far as I am concerned. Just look at the visual abortion that is the disabled lift / supporters brick area at ground level area of the ground for an example of poor space utilisation and reduction in flexibility of future ground expansion options. Best thing the current owners could do is get a decent innovative architects practice involved that thinks a couple of chess moves ahead. Seriously they are Donkeys who see problems rather than solutions, and yes I have attempted to challenge them in the past.
Mind you it might be a big tax avoidance scheme, in which case who cares what the figures say. Just as long as our intelligence is not insulted.

Does anyone know how to get blood out of a patio? I thought I had solved my flying problem. The first time I only jumped from the parents bungalow roof. Went home and tried it from the roof of my house, loft extension 2 floors up. Thought I would be able to flap a bit harder to get some air. Nope, tibia's broken though the skin and blood everywhere. Might try it from the Shard next. Determined to fly to truro Learning to fly is all about commitment. You have to leap out from a very great height, fully committed, preferably wearing a lycra based super hero uniform with daft name on the front (i.e. Ginger Avenger). Within an instant you will find you have a pair of wings stuck on your back with aviation lessons being given by St Peter himself. Alternatively you may plummet down to the other side, in which case you will be given you a spatula. Old Nick will then point towards the griddle and give you frying lessons.

Capitalism does not permit an even flow of economic resources. With this system, a small privileged few are rich beyond conscience, and almost all others are doomed to be poor at some level. That's the way the system works. And since we know that the system will not change the rules, we are going to have to change the system.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
