So, from the hyperbole (?) of the cup to a home league game for a change. Eastbourne lost 4-2 at Chippenham on Saturday, a side we beat away, so should be a home banker then? Stones are 2-2-2 from their last six home games, while Eastbourne are 1-3-2 from their last six away, so not that different. We have 24 points to their 16, with a +6 goal difference to their -7. They've scored more than us, mind (22v19), but let in 29, while we have the best goals against in the league at just 13. Arguably, a good performance is important on Tuesday, to stir up a bit of interest and start bringing more folk through the turnstiles in future. Beat Barrow and get a plumb third round draw will soon bring people out though.

I don’t expect Tuesday night will produce much quality football but Stones should have enough in the locker to win.

I just don’t know which Stones will turn up. I think it largely depends on the approach of the opposition.
This league is full of very inconsistent teams. One team will look like world batters one week and be losing to Dover the next.
Torquay have been tripe all season according to their fans and they sit in contention. We haven’t pulled up any trees and so do we.
We should win. But we should have beaten Welling and Farnborough.

A post-cup Tuesday night in November doesn't exactly inspire, but hopefully our new man will be starting, and I'm sure George won't put up with any excuses about having to play twice in 4 days. And, form-wise, Eastbourne are there for the taking. It will either be a nervy 3 points scraped, or a romp to 4-0, but, either way, a win for the Mighty Stones!

We extend our unbeaten run in all comps to 12 games - my prediction either 1-0 or 3-1

I’ve moderated my predictions based on distribution and recent form of both teams. footystats.org/stats/common-scoreNot quite Swordy level of predictions, but there’s almost no point predicting 4-0 wins.

The point is that you feel bloody great when it actually happens! And the rest of the time, no one expects it to happen, so it doesn't matter. Win, win. Or possibly draw, draw...

According to a certain Lee Fisher on facebook, George is bang on average and so is the team. Apparently the NLS is the weakest ever. Seems the club is going no-where so probably not much chance tonight.

Best to steer clear of the likes of Lee Fisher. The guy must have some serious problems. 10 matches unbeaten now and looking very decent. Not perfect but plenty to like. Win, lose or draw tonight, the team and George are def the real deal.

An NLS containing Yeovil and Torquay is the weakest ever?

Tedious beyond belief at the moment. Eastbourne should have scored in the first minute, but have had zero ambition since, with just passing practice in our own half for Stones.
