I thought 1-0 at HT flattered us a bit but we totally bossed the 2nd half and could easily have scored more.
Good performances all over the pitch, several players growing in confidence every game.
I agree with Harry about Rush was impressed with his workrate, made intelligent runs which gave their defense problems and helped create gaps for others.

It looked a lot less than that It did. Loads of big gaps in the MS - not good when it's cold! It baffles me, after the few home games we've had, and with the team doing well, that so many ST holders don't both to turn up. I really don't understand the mentality. Makes you wonder what the turn-out for the Cup game will be. Normally, just making R2 and at home would mean easily 2,500, maybe more, but Barrow are hardly a big draw. Its weird because its normally when it rains that I expect the crowd to be a lot lower, but tonight the weather was fine other than being a bit cold. As for the FA Cup game, I dont think it helps that we've played Barrow multiple times in a league game not long ago, so most of the fanbase have seen us play them, so It's not exactly an exciting game to look forward to.

Presumably it's all-ticket too, so the hassle of getting tickets will put a lot of people off. Why is it so much easier to buy a ticket online at Chesham than at home?!

And what's happened to Eastbourne? They used to be a good side, never easy to beat, and pre-season rumours were that money was being put into the club and the team being rebuilt to make a play-off challenge this season - what happened to that?? They got rid of an experienced manager who had Eastbourne challenging for the playoffs on a small budget, and replaced him with someone who was an academy coach at Brighton......this move did not go down well with their fanbase. Also deciding to go full time a few weeks before pre season started was a very bad idea. They would've been better off just staying part time, keeping the basis of a decent team they already had and planning the move to full time next season instead.

What is wrong with a minority of our Facebook and Genco fans. Some moron last night bellowing “we want Ash out”, perhaps unaware he was standing a few yards away. The chanter probably wasn’t even in primary school when Ash and Casey saved the club from a second extinction and used their own money to build the stadium. Why does Oliver get all the abuse, unlike Terry who lives nearby and probably has more day to day involvement?

Terry would be more likely to respond physically!

They are mainly younger or new fans who were not about for the demise and resurrection of The Stones. Their sole argument for Ash and Casey out seems to be “look at Maidenhead and Wealdstone”. It’s the Championship Manager generation. They don’t understand how hard it is to run a club financially viably. Idiots.

Those guys are all 30+, nearer 40. Championship Manager was at its best around 2001-2005. So they (myself included) are nearer 40 now. These "kids" that are trying to f@@k up everything everwhere are what I would call the "minecraft" generation haha.

Had Eastbourne taken their two chances, it could have been a very frustrating evening. They didn't though and their lack of ambition was akin to Worthing's. Or was it more because we never gave them a chance? Will be interesting Saturday at H&R, because they are very much the form team and have been on a good run. Too many NLS sides seem to be playing safety first football at the moment, happy to defend in depth and hope for a breakaway. Hence the first half when we were allowed to pass the ball about in our own half. Scoring early seems the key, as it forces teams to change plans and, post match, we now know George has plans B and C at least, which is definitely two more than Hak did!

Happy enough with the performance last night.
Decent all round team effort with zero players having a poor game.
Comfortable win.

Sole & Aransibia were the standout players for me. I thought that Gurung was the only poor performer as he seemed off the pace. Were Eastbourne Gillingham's KSC team in disguise?

Not even sure what his role is. Surely not a DM because he can’t tackle and is pretty much a guaranteed yellow card every game. Having said that I can’t see what he gives is going forward either.

Blimey, 5th in the league and Big Davy U is having a go at our players. Luckily we have a manager to worry about such things.

Why does Oliver get all the abuse, unlike Terry who lives nearby and probably has more day to day involvement? It was one person shouting Ash out not for the first time this season ( same person). Thankfully and tellingly noone else joining in (yet). I think the majority of fans and probably Oliver himself would welcome someone onboard who could take the club to the next level (surviving in NL and eventually knocking on the door of the EFL) with sensible investment and without jeopardising the club's future. However chanting Ash out is just disrespectful imo to someone who most fans realise we have so much to be thankful for. Perhaps said person would rather have the type of owner we currently have at Reading who splashed the cash in his first season aiming for the sky (prem) and now can't be bothered to pay wages on time (resulting in several point deductions) and who is jeapordising the existence of the club (unpaid taxes).
