Arguably our most important game of the season, so far. Relegation is all but assured and could already be out of our hands if results go against us at the weekend, but we are still in the cup! Not sure many saw us beating Eastleigh, so why not Barnet? It would help if George could put out a strong side (for us), so hopefully Booty will be back, Lawson too and Alabi nowhere to be seen. Sorry James, but we are a man short every time you are on the pitch. No reason why we can't beat Barnet in a cup match. League positions count for nothing in these games, though if Barnet could be like Eastleigh and contrive to have a player (or two!) sent off early on that might help. Likewise if we can score early. Lose and our season is effectively over. Win and there still excitement ahead. COYS.

Much as I love the romance of the Cup and giant killing, and crazy things like winning the Trophy in your relegation season, the reality is that, squad for squad, Barnet are going to beat us 9 times out of 10.
Although their form of recent hasn't been very good and they might want to keep their key players injury free for the play-offs, so who knows?
But is there much we've seen recently from our squad that makes anyone think that they've got it in them to step up a couple of gears and beat a much better side? I'm afraid I haven't seen it.

Last time we were in the quarter finals we tamely surrendered to Stockport County so if we are going out then let's go out with a fighting performance. Can we win? Yes! Our best chance is to scrape a draw and win the penalty shootout but we need the Bees to have an off day.A trip to Wembley would be a dream come true let's just hope the players feel that way too.COYS

Stranger things have happened - I think someone mentioned 8 or so teams have won trophies the same season as getting relegated from the National? Wigan of course, gone from the Prem and won a cup the same season. West Ham could also, possibly, win a European Cup this season and drop out of the prem.

It's bad enough having one club relegated, without people assuming the other one is going to be as well!! West Ham did win the Cup whilst still in Div 2 though...

Looking at the bookies prices and we are 9/4 to win and 5/2 to draw with Barnet surprisingly only 10/11 favourites. I thought they would be shorter priced than that but it must be a result of indifferent form of late. Maidstone 1 Barnet 4 would get you 40/1 so might be worth a £1 bet.

Does anyone understand the rationale behind restricting away fan sales on match day? We’ve done this to a few clubs this season, but also lifted the restriction when away fans complained. What exactly does it achieve, apart from losing income or encouraging away fans into the home area? And no, I don’t care if the question is interpreted as an attack on our beloved owners (peace be upon them).

I cannot understand it. If a Group of Barnet fans came they’d have to go in the home end

These restrictions are usually imposed by Kent Police. The club have no choice.

If true, why would the police do that and encourage away fans in home areas?
Also, there were instances where the rules were relaxed after away fans complained on social media.

Booty and Gavin Hoyte, no less, on the bench today. We start with 11 too, as Alibi is on the bench too. A decent contingent of Barnet fans - am guessing at least 200 in the Genco End, making for a lovely atmosphere. Worryingly, perhaps, Barnet's pre match shooting practice is woeful. Town Ender's are getting peppered.
