Let's not get carried away,we were in talks last season with six investors who disappeared without trace when it came to coughing up the pennies.

I think confirmed is a bit optimistic at the moment. Let's wait for developments and not get carried away yet. Sounds promising but very early days.

But what do we expect from a potential investor?
There are probably plenty on here who are thinking in terms of investment in the team - but is that likely?
The basic business model of the club is that running costs (including joining fees, players' wages, etc) should only come out of revenue. Investment money should only be spent on buildings, infrastructure, etc.
So, does a new investor's money pay for the new pitch, or perhaps the building of the Riverside stand. Or better facilities behind the stands, the cost of turning the TE into the new away end?
Or, is it up to the new investor how his/her money is spent?

The town end will never become the away end. Once it's built the Genco will become the away end and the redeveloped town end will be the new Kop, as it was before the Genco was built.

The sad truth is the current owners have taken the club as far as they can!

Yes they have, which is why they are looking at potential investors. I for one will be sad to see them go, but will aiways be grateful for what they have done for us.

I am a bit worried on how this will play out.
I want an investor to come in alongside them rather than instead of them.
I can’t see a sugar daddy type coming in and being willing to throw money in whilst they sit there and don’t.
I am not sure this is going to play out like the Facebook idiots who wanted out owners out, think it will.

Why do you assume this new investor is taking the club over? Maybe they are just joining Terry and Oliver. After all, it would be reasonable for T & O to at least expect their investmant back, so a takeover would involve someone having £3+m available - hopefully with at least a few hundred grand of their own to invest on top. How many local business men or women have that sort of money just sitting there doing nothing?
