Time to start our next game thread. They lost 3-1 at BW on Saturday, so hope that wore them out a bit. Their fortunes have been mixed of late: Scunthorpe H won 2-0 Woking A lost 0-1 Solihull A lost 3-0 Dorking A won 3-1 Chesterfield H won 2-1 Aldershot A 0-0
Can we build on the home draw against Solihull? Scunthorpe, Maidenhead and Oldham to follow, which on paper should all be winnable. Unfortunately, we don't play on paper, but here's hoping

Will it survive the deluge of rain anticipated over the next 2 days?

On the otherhand, it may not be the deluge you fear and the game gets played without a glitch.
How about some positivity ?

Couple of hours rain today, then on and off throughout tomorrow. So says the Met Office.

Galvin's loan deal is up this week, so this could be his last game with us.

Ryan Galvin was easily voted Player of the Month for October
Well deserved. Top player

Wonder if the player of the month award will convince him to stay - things aren't going well collectively for the team, but from Ryan's perspective it couldn't really be going any better as loans go: consistently playing, top performances, standing out and clearly getting on with everyone based on the praise he received for POTM on social media from the other players.
It's stick or twist really: stick and know you'll carry on playing, or twist and possibly go to a better side higher up the divisions but you could be a bench player for the rest of the season, coming on in the 88th minute for cameo appearances.

Add in the chance to play further up the field, because of Jerome's return (and form a partnership with him) and it all makes very good sense to stay here and continue making a name for himself. However, when has common sense had much to do with anything, but here's hoping.

In Waterlooville we have had big spells of heavy rain most of the morning - quite windy. I do know that Eastleigh did get funding and relay the pitch in the Summer of 2021 folllowing major major issues with drainage. Since then it has been a lot better.......

Add in the chance to play further up the field, because of Jerome's return (and form a partnership with him) and it all makes very good sense to stay here and continue making a name for himself. However, when has common sense had much to do with anything, but here's hoping. From Sheffield: "Left-sided wing-back Ryan Galvin turns 22 in January and has his work cut out when it comes to his breaking into the Wednesday first team given the presence of Marvin Johnson, Reece James and Jaden Brown ahead of him in the pecking order. Such is the competition in that area of the pitch, Wednesday felt able to allow the highly-rated former Wigan Athletic man out to continue his development with an initial two-month loan with National League side Maidstone United. Galvin was sent out on loan with the brief to maintain his form over an extended period, something he has done in an impressive 10 matches with the relegation-threatened club so much so that he was handed their player of the month award for October. Speaking shortly after Galvin’s switch to the Kent club was confirmed, Owls boss Moore spoke of his desire to see the youngster rack up ‘20 or 30’ appearances with a non-league club following his experience-building stint with National League North outfit Gloucester City last season. Though Wednesday continue to navigate injury issues at the back and Ciaran Brennan can’t be recalled from Swindon Town until January, it may well be that Moore decides to launch the extension option in the Maidstone deal". Fingers crossed

Same old story? Bright start, then concede and now seem all over the place. Most sides try to rally after conceding, why is it our heads drop?
