Bugger me, 2-1 up now. Galvin and Greenidge, that's more like it!

2-4 and game over.
The crosses into the box seem to be a problem again.
11 on 11 and we were competitive (which is all I want) but lose a man and the writing is on the wall.
Onwards and….we’ll just onwards really.

While awaiting reports, coming back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 at half time sounds like a step forward. Unfortunately, that fragile confidence then got shat on with penalty and sending off, so the rest was probably inevitable...

So what happened to the double Jeopardy rule that means you don't get a sending off for giving away a penalty except for a handball that prevents a goal. Clearly the ref got it wrong and may we'll have cost us a share of the points.

Mmm... ...suspected that things might not have entirely gone in our favour. No idea why, not there, just a feeling. Perhaps Stonestv will shed some light on events?

Clearly the ref got it wrong and may we'll have cost us a share of the points. The rule is that if the ref thinks you are trying to play the ball and give a penalty away denying a clear scoring opportunity, you won’t be red carded as well as giving the penalty away. I.e. it’s not just handballs, but tugging a shirt, tripping a player, etc that can lead to both a red and a penalty. It’s whether or not you were legitimately trying to play the ball that is key Didn’t see the incident though so we will see.

Could have (should have?) been 4-1 up just after half time, only to be fucked over by the ref. Really doesn't look much of a penalty, let alone a red card, though as Hak says, Hoyte should have done better in the first place. We are appealing the card, for what it's worth. Déjà vu to that H&W game a few years ago, when we also lost 5-2 following a very dubious red card. What is it about playing in Hampshire? As for the rest of the game, really poor defending for their first. How was the scorer allowed to be unmarked at the to far post AND chest the ball in? Their defending for both our goals was piss poor too, then came the save, miss and penalty... After that, seems Hak tried to still get something by playing two up front, but that just left loads of spaces at the back for them to exploit. Which they did. Could easily have been six or seven at the end. Would it have been been better to 'park the bus' and defend for a draw? Maybe, but it didn't work for Yeovil or Halifax and given our defence, can sort of understand why he did it. So, on the Scunthorpe. Last night's game should prove to the team that they CAN compete and they should go out and stick one on the Iron to make up for it. Will the ref let us though?? Sigh.

Just watch the highlights. That was an appalling decision. Never a pen let alone a red card.
