Just watch the highlights. That was an appalling decision. Never a pen let alone a red card. Completely agree, terrible decision which ruined the game.

At 5.38 on the highlights if you pause it, Hoyte chests the ball. I can't see what he has done wrong to be honest. When things are going against you, they do it in a really shitty way. Hak has worked hard to bring this team up to being competitive in the league and we don't need this garbage from the officials.

Might sound like sour grapes, but the level of refereeing in this league is SHOCKINGLY bad. I've said it before, and I'll say it again because they really are useless.

If it wasn't for a corrupt referee,Richardson, owned and paid for by the Surrey FA, who have part ownership of Dorking, we would have beaten Dorking and be sharing the same crap refs as you have. Meanwhile , we endure the crap refs in the NLS , albeit only for this season.

I can take refs being poor when they are poor for both teams but something about that ref yesterday really didn't sit well with me.
When we were leading and JBW was taking a throw 5 seconds the ref is yelling at him to get on with it, yet continually let them waste so much time when they re-took the lead When it was all tied up at 2-2 and we subbed Galvin, the ref pointed him to the touchline furthest from the dugouts to go off the pitch, yet later on when their 14 was being subbed (who was sat on the pitch about the same distance from the dugouts as Galvin was when he was subbed), the ref walked over to him helped him up by the hand and casually walked him over to the dugouts, instead of forcing the same rules he forced on Galvin earlier in the game. Even the penalty, in the lead up to it there was a foul on Ellul who had jumped to head the ball and their player took him out in the air, then the incident of the penalty you can see their player first pull Hoyte back by the shoulder and then shove him in the back. So many other instances of them shoving our players especially when they were in the air and nothing given then when they had possession and we go near them they go down and free kicks.
After the penalty/sending off it was game over could and probably should've been 7 or 8 to them, we just fell apart defensively, feel for Greenidge and Sandford who look impressive signing for us.
Their keeper did pull off a cracking save against Fawole in the first half which would've made it 1-3

Having just watched the incident, I think the ref can see Hoyte's arm going across the face of the forward, so he's regarding it as a forearm smash - even so, it's the softest decision.

Was similar when he was at Havant & Waterlooville. Remember the game we played them and he got Elliott Romain sent off. He spent that much time talking to the fourth official last night I thought he was part of the coaching team. He's son isn't much better either.

Just a totally rubbish referee.
Thats about the nicest thing to say about him.
Any more expansive and it gets much worse.

Looked to get the programme to see about downloading it www.eastleighfc.com/matchday-information-maidstone-united-h/This is on their website but when you click on the link you go to the Scunthorpe programme There are three programmes from this season on there Scunthorpe, Halifax and Chesterfield, more like one of those local advertisement booklets than a programme as next to NOTHING or more accurately sweet FA in terms of what you would expect to find in a football programme. If you still have a load of teamsheets mate then you might want to let people know as this is the closest you will get to a programme from this game.

Trouble is, as rubbish a decision as it was, Hak believes Gavin was at fault for not clearing it. Harsh? Maybe. Now Hoyte is suspended, it will be interesting to see what defence Hak picks, especiall;y at right back.
Also, I know we were ten men and they moved the ball real fast, but the four goals from open play were still down to atrocious defending. Love Frew-Ellul in the NLS to bits, but he is really not NL standard (Do we always get hammered when he plays? If not it feels like it!) and even Greenidge had a howler, so even if the penalty had never have happened, would we have held on? Not sure.
So, same old poor defending issues really for the Stones, kind of masked by a truly terrible penalty decision and red card. At least we scored two goals and could have had a third, and Fawole is getting better and better.
So, we go again and next time HAS to be better against Scunny. For the first time in a while, Im going for a win.

I wasn't at Eastleigh, but it's sounds like we went to this shape when Gavin went off. Any idea who vice-captain is in Gavin's absence? Ellul or Booty, perhaps? Think we'll play something similar to the following with two roaming wing backs, assuming Galvin loves us so much he's decided to extend his loan...: Sandford Mensah - Greenidge - Ellul Deacon - Corne - Booty - Odusanya - Galvin Fawole - Barham

No room in the line-up for JBW?

I think, if he has extended his loan, Galvin is indispensable at the moment. Unless he's moved further up the pitch in a 4-5-1 with JBW at LB, I think Galvin is first name on the sheet on current form.
