What a joke club are Tonbridge Angels.
Run out of food halfway through the first half.
Run out of beer 15 minutes into the 2nd half.
Shocking !

Stones on fire !
Up to 4th in the league now.
Nil points behind 2nd and 3rd placed Ebbsfleet and Dartford.
Not convinced Oxford will be in the mix at the season's end.
Looking good going forward.
Bring on Welling.

What like most about derby matches is that they are so easy. Ebbsfleet, Dartford and Tonbridge. WIN, WIN, WIN. 9 points in the bag. Easy peasy. Welling next to get smashed by the mighty Stones

Defence was immense today.. under pressure entire second half. Tonbridge boss got his tactics right and managed to stifle our usual game, but in the end our quality saw us through. Michael Phillips is again showing why he was player of the season before he left us. Just goes about his business.

Not a good performance especially second half but winning when not playing well is the hallmark of a good team. First time I've ever seen us win there so that was a bonus, and winning local derbies is a great habit to get into.

3 covid cases in the family meant 5 tickets getting wasted. By all accounts we missed a good old fashioned derby match. Seems Michael Phillip's is back to his former best which is good news. Plus the defence is properly sorted in every position including cover. Midfield has plenty of talent too. Hak seems to have all his ducks in as row. Just need to avoid those banana skins coming up in the shape of Welling and Tonbridge. Happy Days here again.

Not exactly a footballing master class. Well down on the Dartford performance or Ebbsfleet come to that. Stones didn't play with the same intensity and a quick passing game didn't exactly suit the conditions. Still a win is a win and 3 points at Tonbridge is hardly to be sniffed at. Hak will need the lads to raise their game a bit for Tuesday but hopefully he will do just that.

No excuse.. Tonbridge knew exactly how many away fans were coming.. it was all-ticket FFS
Maybe they gave it all to the massive unnecessary police presence again.. who is advising on police?? A police bill for Tonbridge they could have avoided.
They could have borrowed some of our knuckle-dragging security instead???
The police spent most of the time bored and on their phones :-)

I reckon Hak must be nailed on for Manager of the Month. After such a great start to the season, the team had a serious glitch. He came out of it fighting with team spirit higher than ever. This team is pulling for Hak and the supporters. No rest though, Welling and Tonbridge (again) will be a further test. Before today I would have settled for 7 points from the 3 matches, can we realistically expect 9 ? No we can't expect it but we can hope. In the meantime, thanks Hak for everything you have done. Top man !

I thought we were the better side 1st half but they were by far the better side 2nd half and were probably worthy of a point but in saying that though they never looked like scoring. Think that must be our 1st win over them since the FA Cup win in 2002 apart Kent Senior Cup games etc.

The better side ? I can think of 3 matches during our extended glitch where we got nothing out of the games, despite being the 'better side', Without the onion bag bulging, you get nothing. Having said that I agree that Tonbridge were winning too much of the ball in the 2nd half and Hak needs to give some thought to that. Stones defended really well. Tonbridge are a half decent team but not World beaters. We need to up a gear for Tuesday.
