Well I have been a big critic of Clovis, but he is starting to get up to speed and looks good in front of the back four. Knight looks like a proper non league centre half with the feet of goal keeper!! Johnson is a far better footballer, but knight will make a good back up for him. Chiesman is very good at left back. The whole team were good in this game. Having seen the their second goal knight was out muscled by the fat Pikey! Shame really. Wishart could go for money before the end of the season, what a revelation he has been and worth his wages.

There was nothing wrong with the fat pikeys goal, he just wanted it more. You guys saying it should be disallowed for a foul would have taken away 90% of Alan Shearers headed goals for fouls if you class what kedwell did as a foul.
The thing was you knew his goal was coming, they get a corner rush to make the change bringing him on as he bounces down the pitch into the penalty area a bunch of our fans are singing the kedwell anthem, half way through the third rendition ball comes over and the pie earing champion nuts it into the net and celebrates like a monkey whose just won the shit fight at the zoo.

I think it is fair to say we all know the goal stands and will not be chalked off. As football fans, we also reserve the right to question decisions. It is as much a part of the game as questioning the value, or otherwise, of the opposition.

I agree that it’s not a foul but what’s annoying is that when we had a corner the ref gave a free kick against us for a lot less.

One last comment on the match before signing off. Kedwell's header direct from a corner was put down to a foul/weak defending from Knight. Imo at least equally to blame was Cole. Surely a keeper should be in the action somewhere when the ball is headed in no more than 3 yards from the goal-line. I truly think that Cole is a very decent keeper, despite not being over commanding in his 6 yard box.

Other than that a very decent keeper.

Other than that a very decent keeper. Agree. Seems to be the modern trend - just clear it, don't worry about trying to catch it. New coaching, perhaps? I'm much hapier to see the ball safely in the keeper's hands. Knock it back out and the chances are high that it's just going to come rocketing back in again, probably where you least expect it.

You only have to see the safety first approach of the defenders - bang it upfield, into the stands, Mars, etc - to see that is the case now. Certainly works better that last season too!

I actually quite enjoyed that on Saturday - no pissing about trying to play it out oof defence (and losing it), just boot it. But a lot of those 'boots' DID find another player in B&A (unlike previous seasons), so I think it's more scientific than it looks. I don't know what JS2 tells them to do (the whole squad, not just the defenders), and some people have slagged him off for being old-fashioned and out of date, but it seems to work.

One of the pre season games highlighted the teams attitude on defending for me.
Chesman comes over on the cover and blasts the ball over by the stones tv gantry, Cole shouts at him he had time, Big George shouts calm down they ain't going to score when it's up there let's get our shape and defend the throw as a team.
To me George's attitude was spot on and i think that is showing in the team, well certainly the clearance at Dulwich which has overtaken Muldoons penalty from last season on it's way to mars.
