Losing 2-1. Basically, we can play average to poor teams and get points. Anyone with aspirations we are terrible. Did anything interesting happen while you were looking down at your phone to write this at a quarter to five?

OK. Own up. After Kedwell scored, who tore up last season's script and offered up a happy ending instead? Admit it, we all had that sinking feeling.

Got the draw that was the minimum we deserved. All eyes on the highlights to see if it really was a penalty, as everyone on the Riverside saw the foul as outside the area. If so, a bit of a bugger, as for all HW's possession, they weren't doing anything with it and that has been very much our style this season - to be fair it mostly works too. Credit Ross Worner for keeping them in the game. First he clatters Edwards, causing him to go off early, possible penalty here, then makes several blinding saves. Credit Edwards for scoring with a great lob and well done Dan Wishart for his last minute header. Quite how we let the beergut score with his first, only, touch is anyone's guess. Shame as they certainly didn't deserve to be ahead. Disappointed to see Dowswell's antics, not just on the touchline, he was a yard on the pitch half the time. George however remains captain fantastic and Clovis had another fine game in midfield.

Obviously we hope the highlights prove it one way or the other but, from my view in that half on the riverside, it looked in the box to me and those around me.

If you dont like it, dignitas has spaces.

From behind the goal there was clear daylight between foul and penalty box si no penalty in my book.

Difficult to see from ground level unless you're bang in line. Looked outside from the main stand. More to the point though, why didn't we get one when Worner wiped out Edwards. Before the game I thought anything out of it would be a bonus, but having been the better side for most of the game it's disappointing to only get a draw.

Overall, I thought we were well worth a point and probably should have taken all 3. Like Sutton did, H&W look like a really good passing Doswell team and I thought we defended really well for 98% of the game to restrict them to very few chances but having defended so well the penalty and goal conceded we're really poor. First their guy was going away from goal so a risky challenge in the area, if it was in the area, didn't need to be made and then for the FB to get so much space in the area from a corner immediately after coming on was criminal !
However there was some really good stuff from us against a good side. Clovis impressed me breaking up their midfield play, Edwards looked a handful till he had to go off, Wishart class again and everyone else had decent games except for the pen and their other goal so really can't be too disappointed today.

We had plenty of practice from corners too. Wishart the taker now, but would rather see him lurking around the box. One of these days we will score from a corner, hopefully, but still don't look convincing here. Getting better at throw ins - well, quicker at least. Plus we now play half decent long balls into the channels for players able to run into space. Getting there.

Haven't decided on my MOTM yet.

Best game I have seen at the Gallagher for a while. We were the best team by a mile. Did not deserve to lose that. Never looked like a penalty from my position and that ruined it as H&W were not in the game at all. The whole team were brilliant and if we play like that most weeks then I can see us finishing in the top 3.

Great game of football. Walked away from the game pleased with that performance.
2-2 was just about right but if anyone deserved to win it was us.
Worner was the much busier keeper and did well.
I haven’t seen too much to worry about in this league. Havant will be up there and I’d expect to be playing them in the playoffs at some point.
We’d beat Weymouth and Welling if we played them next week, only Wealdstone looked a better side than us

Klovis and Khan were immense today but I can’t remember a Maidstone side winning so many 50:50s and even 40:60s than we did today. The best thing about this side, as I see it, is that it’s a struggle to name MOTM over and over again.
