If JDL is able to safely pee without fear of molestation by away fans, I think we can allow those fans into the Spitfire Lounge.

If JDL is able to safely pee without fear of molestation by away fans, I think we can allow those fans into the Spitfire Lounge. Away fans do have a bar bar underneath the stand. The issue with allowing them access to the Spitfire is the problem with them staying in the home end once they leave it. It is assumed the home fans who sit it stand neat the away end won’t want to hang about in the away end. As I said, it’s a courtesy move by the club that won’t be afforded at every game.

Another weird fixture co incidence, yesterday's attendance 1,903, four years ago, NL South, Saturday 12th September 2015 Home to Havant, attendance 2,054. So even with the international break and a good turn out from Havant away yesterday, we are still down slightly on spectators. Spread the word people, this years team are seriously worth watching ! Not sure that actual attendance was down all that much. The difference may be just that less season tickets sold this year so the numbers not attending but still counted will be lower.

Standing at the pee-face with your Old Chap in your hand and a full bladder is not a comfortable position when considering the potential outbreak of shit-gibbonary...

I don't think the difference is significant. Last time, we were a club on the rise, this time we are recovering from the Clown and relegation. News of the revival and the good times at JWW hasn't yet quite filtered out to all the fair weather fans. They will be back. I think our gates will soon start to pick up, and we may even do better than last season. Early days, I know, but it feels like the good times are back!

PS - even with the cooler weather, the sun is still strong enough at this time of year for the MS to get very warm. We sit right at the top, so it didn't bother us until half-time, but the second half was pretty uncomfortable, and lots of people had had enough and went to find shade.
I can't wait for the new Riverside stand!

Only problem with that is you'll get the same thing we had in the main stand at Bourne Park, because the sun was behind it, it was frigging cold even on warm days. I think I'd rather take my chances with the occasional hot day than freeze my nuts off all through the winter.

Just read the Havant's manager take on the match. Well pleased with the point. He accepted the the Stones were better on the day with more chances, thought the penalty we conceded was a gift to them and said that the 'fat man' wasn't really fit enough to be on the bench (albeit great header)

Overall, I thought we were well worth a point and probably should have taken all 3. Like Sutton did, H&W look like a really good passing Doswell team and I thought we defended really well for 98% of the game to restrict them to very few chances but having defended so well the penalty and goal conceded we're really poor. First their guy was going away from goal so a risky challenge in the area, if it was in the area, didn't need to be made and then for the FB to get so much space in the area from a corner immediately after coming on was criminal ! However there was some really good stuff from us against a good side. Clovis impressed me breaking up their midfield play, Edwards looked a handful till he had to go off, Wishart class again and everyone else had decent games except for the pen and their other goal so really can't be too disappointed today. Having seen the highlights, I was wrong about Kedwell being in space when he scored. From the Genco stand I couldn't see round Kedwell to realise Knight was there being bundled to the floor by him and although some might say he was just out-muscled, watch the highlights carefully. To me Kedwell's left arm and elbow were raised unnaturally shoving Knight over so it should have been disallowed imho, not an easy one for the ref tho. Having said that, the corner was delivered in close to the middle of the six yard box so perhaps Cole should have claimed it?

Agree with you about Kedwell fouling Knight, but your cb has to be stronger in that situation because you can't wait for the ref to give you a free kick.

Fair point but that's a lot of weight.Perhaps in hindsight Elokobi should have been marking Kedwell for that reason?

Got the draw that was the minimum we deserved. All eyes on the highlights to see if it really was a penalty, as everyone on the Riverside saw the foul as outside the area. If so, a bit of a bugger, as for all HW's possession, they weren't doing anything with it and that has been very much our style this season - to be fair it mostly works too. Credit Ross Worner for keeping them in the game. First he clatters Edwards, causing him to go off early, possible penalty here, then makes several blinding saves. Credit Edwards for scoring with a great lob and well done Dan Wishart for his last minute header. Quite how we let the beergut score with his first, only, touch is anyone's guess. Shame as they certainly didn't deserve to be ahead. Disappointed to see Dowswell's antics, not just on the touchline, he was a yard on the pitch half the time. George however remains captain fantastic and Clovis had another fine game in midfield. No we didn't !
Obviously we hope the highlights prove it one way or the other but, from my view in that half on the riverside, it looked in the box to me and those around me.
Having watched the highlights I can cancel my visit to Specsavers.
On second thoughts I'll just postpone it as I've not got a 100% record on these calls and I'm sure I'll be wrong again soon

So, no complaints about their penalty, other than the player was going away from goal so the tackle was unnecessary. However, looked a very similar tackle in the 78th minute, inside the goal area, which we weren't given. As for the beer gut leaning all over Knight, with his arm in his throat, that certainly looked like foul play to me - though guess we've already seen that refs in this league tend not to give that sort of thing. On the bright side, two excellent Stones goals and some fine saves from Worner, so overall it is fair to say we was robbed...
