It will be quite ironic if welling go back to the national league, considering we went up as they went down three years ago Swings and roundabouts my friend

Almost there... NS next season (take 3):Aldershot Town or Truro City (if Shots get a reprieve) Bath City Billericay Town Chelmsford City Chippenham Town Concord Rangers Dartford Dorking Wanderers Dulwich Hamlet Eastbourne Borough Gloucester City Hampton & Richmond Borough Havant & Waterlooville Hungerford Town Maidstone United Slough Town Tonbridge Angels or Metropolitan PoliceWealdstone Weymouth Woking or Welling UnitedPlus 2 of: Braintree Town Hemel Hempstead Town Oxford City St Albans City(depending on who the NS blazers think is furthest north…) Not Gloucester, Not Oxford, all 3 of Hemel / Braintree / St Albans, is most likely. Remember Gloucester play in Evesham.

Nightmare for the clubs. Thank God we aren't in that situation. They really ought to split the NL second tier into three - south, midlands and north. Then not only would transfers between leagues be easier, but the northern clubs wouldn't have all the travel they have to do. And while they're at it - three up, three down between NL and EFL. Finishing second really should give you guaranteed promotion. If you had a 3rd league at step 2 then you would have 4 teams going down and 6 going up or yet another crazy play off like this year. Three up, three down at both ends. QED

Predictions?
Met Police 1 Mangels 3...........sorry, I think the Mangels in blue are going to be just too good for the boys in blue!
Woking 2 Welling 1 ...............although that's more my wish and hope, as I have a deep fear Welling may actually sneak it in the 119th minute, which would be gutting for us to be leapfrogged by a local rival, and a tragedy for Woking, who should be in NL.
Oxford and Braintree chosen by the suits as "South" over Hemel and St Albans?

Gloucester will not go back to NLN. They only came south last year and can't be moved again yet.

Transferred to the NS for season 2017/18.

I think you're reading this the wrong way round. What he means is Gloucester and Oxford will not be in NLS. Isn’t Braintree more northerly than Oxford? Accoring to Wikipedia, Essex is a NS county, not a 'border' county, from which teams can play in either the NS or NN. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_League_SouthBut then St A and HH are both in Hertfordshire - another NS county, and not a border county... Oxfordshire, however, IS a border county. Although, as you say, Braintree is further north than all three! But the idea of HH and St A, being NN sides when they are just outside the M25 is madness. The NL have given themseves a nice little headache here. Whatever they do, at least two clubs are going to be very pissed off.
