Not sure how strong Dagenham will be this year, they started with a defeat at Boreham Wood, hoping we can continue from our second half display on Saturday so going 2-1 Maidstone with 1500 in attendance, hopefully 3-400 from Maidstone. Spot on!!! Can you please start the match thread every game!!

I second that, C&BP!
A good away win. It sounded like we held firm when we needed to and took our chances.
Play off material perhaps?

Good goals from us, turgs should have had a hatrick. But boy did we ride our luck at times. We will play better and lose. Imo we didn't really get going in the first half but got a nicely made goal on the break. Second started well for the first bit. Scored and then Sat back a bit and they pit the pressure on, got one back. They put how many crosses in, to be fair. A few good headers etc got a result. Well done to all those that travelled. Liking the look of Quigley at times, I'm sure there is more to come, and turgs in the goals. Let's get something at Halifax now, would be happy with a point Sat COYS

Promising start, but hopefully nobody is going to get too excited yet. Note that Dover, Salford and £bbsfleet yet to win and Solihull have six points. Are the latter promotion material, especially with their ground? All Stones points gratefully received as insurance against a mid season slump(!), but great to see Turgott has found his scoring boots. Likewise the defence just about holding on, despite losing DeHavilland. Hope he is ok. Games thick and fast as the moment, Halifax Saturday and Orient Tuesday. After the Boreham Wood match on BH Monday will be a good time to assess progress methinks.

Sadly I was limited to listening but for those that attended how did Pax get on overall? Good first pass to Quigley which led to Turgotts goal.
I was worried about the frequency of the crosses getting in, were these mostly from Seths side as it seemed?

Strange business, football - our first proper holiday for 12 years and I'm pissed off because I'm missing the football!!
No signal on the beach Saturday, and last night my better half decides we'll watch a film, just as the game is starting!
Still, nice to look at the table at the moment. Although as long as Solihull are 4th, it's hard to take it seriously...
Looks like Halifax will be a challenge though, and I suspect Chestefield leading the table is no accident. Hopefully the same applies to Eastleigh too - lovely bit of poetic justice after all their hype and arrogance over the years, not to mention all the anti-3G bollocks.
Very early days, I know, but even if it doesn't mean much, so much better to be this end of the table!

Bumped into Worgs in Costa in Tunbridge Wells this morning and he was very pleased with how the team soaked up the pressure and defended. He also joked that we could struggle to keep hold of Blair if he keeps playing this well!!

That's no joke, if I have a concern with how well Turgott is playing it's that he is putting himself firmly in the shop window

I was worried about the frequency of the crosses getting in, were these mostly from Seths side as it seemed? Seth was my MoTM. Considering how many times he had two, and occasionally three, Dagenham players to contend with he had an excellent game. I was just commenting how exposed he was again down our right when they crossed the ball, from there, to score.
Despite the comments on here about Quigley I thought Mullings looked better. Won more headers and held the ball more when it came up to him.
